Hi, some of you may remember me from the old JazzFanz forums (wow, 8-10 years ago?). Around 2003 I quit watching NBA ball because I realized I was tired of watching "professionals" corrupt the game of basketball. The free throw parade is NOT entertaining to me, nor is the flopping and other antics attempting to play the referees. Sometimes I pick up a classic game where people practically had to commit murder to get called for a foul and I weep for the death of my favorite sport. The game flow is so much better without using officiating as a weapon for one more point.
Anyway.
My wife and kids are starting to be interested in the Jazz, and they asked me to get some tickets for a game. In all my years, I have to admit I never paid for a game (ranging between mid-lower bowl and nosebleeds, with a couple visits to box seats). It's looking like my connections are dried up though, and I might have to shell out some bux to see a live game.
Since I haven't watched the NBA for years (last night I was wondering when the hell Oklahoma got a team), can anyone recommend a good game that might be reasonably priced for a family of four? I found the J-Tix site which seems to be a good way to gauge the demand on certain games and where I might get some "cheap" nosebleeds (I resist the temptation to continue on a rant about millionaires taking the game out of the hands of casual fans, looking at the price of tickets and concessions) but I wanted to get some advice from some of the regulars on this board.

(Hey, I have a notion. Instead of using the free throw as a way to punish teams for fouls, how about just awarding possession, or shot clock resets? The officials need to go back to being nameless faces instead of celebrity players who set the tone of the game as their moods see fit.)
