Here are a few things that stand out to me:
- Trey Burke will at least be a good point guard. Not great maybe, but good. He just needs to build his confidence and learn how he's going to score his points. He should be a top 10-12 PG within a few years.
- Kanter doesn't look like he's quite in shape. He seems like he's playing at 3/4 speed and doesn't have the fire he had last season. Maybe he's pacing himself knowing that he's going to play more minutes.
- Alec Burks can be a special scorer, especially going against other teams' second units.
- Favors still has almost no offense. He's got more confidence in his mid-range jumper and that's about it. Now that he's heavier he doesn't have as much quickness and lift as he used to have. Hopefully, that doesn't lead to more fouls. He will probably be the primary defensive rebounder so that Kanter can leak out.
- I'm afraid Favors' limitations are going to force Kanter to play away from the post in order to improve our spacing. However, neither of our bigs look comfortable putting the ball on the floor. I'm not sure why.
- Jeremy Evans is just an energy player for 10 mins/night, if that.
- Biedrins is really quite useless.
- Brandon Rush could help spread the floor with our starting unit, which would make life easier for everyone else. Wonder when he's going to play.
- Everyone of our guys can be shut down by the other team's defense. We don't really have a go-to scorer.
