REFS - NBA trying to give this series to LA

I saw it called a few times in the Houston/OKC game I watched iirc. I wish they would call that a non-shooting foul, and not reward the player for throwing up a shot they would never take if there hadn't been contact. It would eliminate the players from heaving the ball after the contact.

But in this series has it been called?

We shot 22 free throws, they shot 6 before we started fouling them to stop the clock. What a ****ing pathetic thread, I'd be ashamed if fans of other teams came here and saw how whiny people around here are.
This. I agree there were missed calls. Speight's push was a borderline flagrant foul. The guy was flustered and frustrated not dangerous or malicious. I don't love it, but the refs made a reasonable decision. It did serve to signal at least an unspoken warning to the players on both teams. And no way Deandre should have been thrown out for trying to take the dead ball. We had some favorable calls/non calls ourselves. OP needs to check their perspective.

They havent been calling it in the playoffs. Like it or not there is clearly an unwritten rule of more contact being allowed in the playoffs. Maybe our fanbase has forgotten this universal concept since we havent been in the playoffs for so long.

Dont you remember Speights doing the same thing to Diaw and the refs swallowed the whistle?
This actually benefits Jingles who is physical a hell, but doesn't get called out on it. Just need the Jazz bigs to keep up at that level. Rudy would have. Losing him hurts more than ANY other player in this series. Period.

Slow starts are killing the Jazz. Tonight was too much to overcome. Need to get out ahead and run away for a change. Hopefully the energy in SLC will help with that.

Pretty hard to get to the foul line when you come off moving an holding screens to hit wide open j's all night long G Knee Us.

Best part of this thread is where autocorrect changed Reddick's name to Redneck.

WE are Utah, if you arnt use to no-calls or bad calls by now I recommend you go try the bandwagon team down the road..... utah lost this game for one reason and one reason only. We were the most timid form of Jazz I have seen since all-star break.... Something is wrong with what your doing if you have 0 paint points in 12 mins and the other team is running a muck all up in yo paint.... None of the clippers are scared of our current paint presences.... Favors... BAH.... even if he wasnt still recovering and had a tiny bit of his old lateral quickness back, Jordan is too long and Blake is too fast. Favors is not even close to the defensive anchor of the Gobert. Gobert emits an aura of "this is my paint" mentality. Favors emits a "sharing is caring" mentality. The guy has 0 intesity and the other team knows it. you dunk on gobert he eats your baby after the game. you dunk on favors, he will move out of the way next time as to not get embarrassed again.

I know that was a long run on paragraph with so many punctuation errors it would make my old 5th grade teacher throw up but it had to be said..

If we loose this series it will be because we get out rebound and loose the paint battle on both sides of the ball. Winning the paint battle and the rebound battle takes only one thing, and that is "HEART!" Gobert is the heart of this team, Hill is the Head, Hayward is the hair. Those are the most important part of a team. especially the hair, but also the heart. And unless another player can be "the heart" of this team untill gobert returns we are going to see a series go south very fast!

Again, sorry for the bad punctuation and garbage points.

Knock off the victim mentality. They beat us square up, start to finish. Calls were balanced. Miss on Hayward's 3 was huge, but there were misses both ways.

Credit the Clips for countering all of our mini-runs, typically stopping us at ~6 points down and pushing it back up to ~10.

We simply got beat by the team that played better. They got thumped inside and we will have to figure out an answer without Rudy.

Sleights pushes two handed, they review it and NOTHING?

DeAndre shoulda got ejected after accosting a Jazz player from behind for the dead ball after arready having 1 technical?

That play in the first quarter where Blake gets a easy dunk cause a Jazz player gets bear hugged on a screan RIGHT IN FRONT IF THE SIDELINE REF?

Hayward clearly hacked by Redneck?

**** THE REFS AN THE NBA THEY ARE OUT TO GET US!

What's funny is, Clippers fans would disagree with you. They think the Jazz got all the calls and the Clippers got none. Funny how that works. :)

funny how people are talking about the FT discrepancy. Utahs D was so bad, they weren't even in position to commit fouls on their 60 points in the paint. They were easy layups and dunks. I think that the 2 handed shove should be a flagrant foul, and I think that the NBA needs to do something to keep players from chucking up shots every time there is minimal contact to try to draw FT's so Hayward doesn't try that and get the no call. Until they do change a rule, they need to call it the same so players know what to expect.

It was bad calls both ways, but the egregious non-calls went against the Jazz and in the Clippers favor.

There was a moment where Hayward was shooting the 3, and got hit on the elbow. The guy with the ball, behind the 3 point-line, hit hard on the elbow while shooting - and no call???????

Also, the push into Rodney Hood's chest was a flagrant 1 by definition.

" A foul is considered flagrant when it involves excessive or violent contact that could injure the fouled player."

Yep, if that were Harden taking that shot, not only would the refs have called it, but they would have invited Harden to their room after the game to consumate it.

With that said, any suggestion that this game was on the refs is dumb. I mean, LA shot only about 6 free throws until just before the end of the game. Memphis definitely had a legitimate complaint about the refs, Jazz do not, so far.

Refs really sucked tonight

Worst about about being a Jazzfan is having garbage officiating be the difference between a post season win and a lost season loss. Tony Brothers should do time for his complicity in the Chris Paul **** Sho that took place in SLC .

If the refs are gonna be this one-sided then someone needs to perform a Karl Malone elbow to Chris Paul's dome. At least that way maybe the NBA will think twice before trying to hose the Jazz.
