Regrets...

Did you srsly own auction.com??

A friend of mine owned a URL and was blown away when he was offered $5k for it... he laughed all the way to the bank.
windows.com

Ouch. Although with anti-squatting laws, he may have not been able to hold on to it anyway.

It's probably a blessing in disguise that I let the domain lapse. If I'd sold the domain for millions pre-bubble, I'd probably have blown the money on something stupid like Jazz season tickets. Then I'd have all sorts of regrets to post in this thread.

Harlan Sanders started selling his chicken in Corbin, KY. It was a total hit and he continued expanding his restaurant until he finally sold it and decided to franchise "Kentucky Fried Chicken." His first franchisee was a guy from SLC.

So the endeavor began in KY in 1930 but it's first franchise was in SLC sometime in the '40's.

So, the chicken began in Kentucky, but KFC began in Utah.

I regret not seeing this thread in time to have been the first to make a joke about my only regret being joining the site. That would have brought the house down.

I owned the domain auction.com in 93/94 for a school project and let the registration expire. Had I held on to it, I could have sold it for enough to be rich enough to pursue my dream: becoming a moderator on Jazzfanz.
You had me with this post at first but I figured out you were lying when you said the part about dreaming of becoming a Jazzfanz moderator. I mean, get real. Nobody actually ever dreams that big.

It is the top of the proverbial mountain here.
