Meaning their professional skills will be at different stages, but physically they are at the same stage (not quite peak).
its kinda weird.
Makes cj seem much younger than i perceive him, and makes jeremy seem much older than i perceive him.
But being in his 7th year he should have learned the mental toughness and consistency by now.
How much of mental toughness and consistency is connected to brain maturity (which also peaks typcially at about 25)? Not that I'm saying he will improve much in either, but how do you know it is a feature of experience instead of overall maturity?
If CJ hadn't gone straight from high school like he did he'd still only be in his second year of medical school. Had he gone on a mission or into the military or had toured with Phish he'd still probably be in his sophomore year right now. But, alas, nobody ever wants to put that in context and would rather bag on him.
I get that he is young. I also get that he has been a pro for 6 going on 7 years now... I would be thrilled if CJ played like we have seen from time to time. The reality however is that he has a 40 point game one night and a 5 point game the next.
If he got held back 7 years he'd still be in high school. What kind of expectations would you have for a high school senior on this team?

Fixed. Is CJ expected to gain some BBQ at some point?
This is cute but it's apples to oranges. It's all relative and Miles has had seven years to get acclimated to the NBA environment and the rigors that come with it. If he's proven anything, it's that he either isn't that good, is mentally fragile, wildly inconsistent, and all of the above. been.
