Options to replace Heyturd (Personally I would like to see the Jazz free up some cap space to make a run at Klay Thompson in 2019)
Al-Farouq Aminu – This is one of my favorite options

Mo Harkless – Another Portland option that might work

Kyle Singler – this was for laughs

Doug McDermott – McBuckets maybe quin can help oh wait he doesn’t play defense

Jabari Parker – would be expensive and a huge gamble with his knee

Nicolas Batum – Might be had for the right price

Stanley Johnson – I wonder what he would cost

Otto Porter – Jazz would have to free up space

Evan Fournier – Might be had for the right price

Mario Hezonja – I wonder what his value is

Sam Dekker – Would the clips part with him now that they have Gallinari

TJ Warren – Could he be had not they have Josh Jackson?

Jonathon Simmons – Why not gamble on a spurs guy

Tim Hardaway Jr - maybe

Robert Covington – What would he cost

Dario Saric – Would be expensive but a nice replacement value

Rudy Gay – I don’t trust his production

Tyreke Evans – can't shoot

Ersan Ilyasova – getting up there in age

Nick Young – swaggy p

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute – I like this one a lot too

Joe Ingles and Rodney Hood. My biggest issue right now with Hood at the 3 is that he's just an okay defender at the 2 and would get bullied by bigger small forwards. With that said. . . Hayward was in the same boat about 5 years ago. I'd like to see how Rodney responds to an increased role before spending any money or assets on the position.

I'm lovin' the creative names you guys are coming up with. lol I still think it's should be Luka Doncic. Who knows, we might end up in the lottery next year and get lucky with the ping pong balls.

The only names that really jumped out to me there were Hezonja and Johnson. Could be low cost value taking on perceived "bust" still on rookie contracts.

Offer Joe Johnson for either of them, does either team bite?

Rudy Gay is our best bet, imo. If he comes cheap for around the MLE it could be a nice risk/reward.

Only as a one year stopgap. There's a lot of reasons not to do that deal. I think that you'll find that Utah's MLE slot will be pretty valuable once the money dries up after deals finally get inked. Also think Diaw's contract will have value as well. Still holding out hope that it's a throw in for a bigger move.

Jonathan Simmons. Did anyone watch the playoffs? He looked very good. He was no Kawhi, but he was the Spurs go to guy with Kawhi injured. He looked solid doing it. He's a two way player who the Spurs are looking to pay $9 million per. At $11 million we could take him and I think he adds a lot.
