Agreed. I have watched a few episodes now though and they have that late 80's early 90's hokiness and the fight sequences in the early seasons are so obviously staged but the story is still interesting and the mythology compelling.

In general, I like most anything that Sir Connery is in. That being said, Highlander the movie was insufferable. And I tried watching it several times because friends kept saying how awesome it was. Maybe I was in a bad mood the last time? Maybe my mind was elsewhere at the time? Maybe I wasn't drunk enough? Nope, it just flat out sucked.

I really think that if they'd replaced Lambert with a different actor it would have made a difference. Lambert couldn't act his way out jury duty.
