We could bring back the anonymous repping... consider me a reputation mercenary. PM me who you want me to rep and in which direction and bam!, there ya go. I know 4 rep isn't much but isn't it more about the infuriating anonymity that comes with it?

This non-anon stuff is blue balls cured by pants rubbing. The result may be what you were looking for but getting there was a huge let down. You're all tying baggies around your junk to verify that juicy dream. Does seeing it after the fact make it feel any better? More lotion for your twisted next go?

I'd rather wonder if it was XYZ who kept negging me than read some dumbass finally attach a name to the end now that it's unnecessary.

If grey I would guess its a dup.
If green, someone really worked hard on their duplicate account.

I can honestly say that up until three minutes ago, when I opened this thread for the first time, I had no idea how to check rep...or for that matter anything about how it works. In conclusion, apart from feeling like a moran and realizing that I need to post more often, I now feel all warm and fuzzy inside from some of your positive reps. My only negative rep to date reads "1", and I now know who Hantlers is. Productive day.

Wassup buddy?! It's been a long *** time.
 
I never left any anonymous rep to begin with so it hasn't changed my personal rep patterns at all. I am sure knowing you are not anonymous will keep people like kicky from giving negs he would not have the guts to own up to otherwise, but other than that, not sure how it has changed things for other folks.

The whole anonymity thing is a great psychological study in interpersonal interaction. It plays into the "would you do X if no one would know" questions that make such interesting fodder for idle conversation.


Ok so, if your significant other would never find out, and you were guaranteed to have no adverse consequences (disease, pregnancy, what-have-you) would you be willing to cheat on your partner in a wild night of lust that willl go completely unknown by anyone but the two of you that participated? Suppose it was nothing you sought, it just kind of happened...business trip, class reunion, whatever. Isolated circumstances, someone you will never see again who you find incredibly attractive who makes all the moves, seducing you. Do you go there or not and why or why not?
