100% this^I don’t think so at all. I think the Jazz will stay fighting for a play-in spot and convey a middle of the draft pick in a weak draft to OKC. The fact we picked up two picks at the end of this draft definitely signals to me they intend to convey the pick.
We’re too far to the good at this point and there’s just no way that we’re going to risk rebuke from the fans and the league with a conspicuous shut down scheme. Anyway both Danny and Will know that establishing a winning culture is everything. That said, I see a team that would have made the playoffs had they stood pat but instead convey our first and miss the playoffs as we are currently constructed. So short of a score on the buyout waiver market or a rejuvenated Porter or a reinvented Knox, or an unexpected breakout by Hendrix and Sensabaugh, nobody is going to fill the vacuum created in the loss of Olynyk, Fontechio and Agbaji. Not this season.
