Co-creator of the
Adult Swim animated comedy and voice actor for the two titular characters Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony in Orange County last week. He was charged with one count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, and/or deceit in a case involving an unnamed woman Roiland allegedly dated in 2020. Roiland was released on a $50,000 bond and attended a pre-trail on January 12, with a hearing scheduled later this spring on April 27.
