Rio Olympics anyone?

I did judo in my teenage years for about 4 years ( needed to quite for medical reasons) - one of my favorite sports of all time. Hard to explain the specific Judo wrestling rules and scoring if you are not watching together. But basically you score and win with throws, submissions or via disqualification of opponent. So yes, if somebody made a weak throw and scored a yuko ( lowest score awarded for a throw which ends up on the but, side, not full range, etc) he may try to defend that score and run the time. Avoiding fight results in warning or penalty called shido - 4 shidos will result in loss and disqualifying penalty called hansoku make. You can get straightforward hansoku make if you punch your opponent, kick, do illegal submission attempt, etc. So some people if they defending their score and already have 3 warnings , they have no choice but to be active and try convincing the official that they are attacking as it would be major shame to lose by 4 shidos.

MVP, in your opinion, who would win in a judo match: the current best heavyweight judoka vs the best heavyweight wrestler vs the best heavyweight boxer vs prime time Karl Malone, Lebron James, Shaquille O'Neal? Lets assume they all want to win and are motivated to win.

In judo match? Obviously judoka. Basketball players and boxer won't last a minute. Wrestler would be most difficult challenge but still, he would be forced to play by judo rules, wear kimono, that would be unfamiliar waters for him.

I just wondered: What's the NRA's stance on the US not being dominant in shooting competitions in the Olympics?

Even with judo clothes and rules, wouldn't '92 version of Karl Malone with one month of practise be strong enough to just grab the smaller judoka and push away from the tatami? I think that Karl Malone is not that dumb and knows what are the basic survival tricks?

Right? On a joke? Get real. You must be so proud of your accomplishment of missing the fun.

Sincere condolences to all American women soccer fans. I mean your girls dominated the game - 26 shots to 3 and yet they are out. Sucks.

You said heavyweight right? You think this dude would be easy to push? He is 288lbs.

But isn't wrestling just a show? as far as I remember any wrestlers who tried some real fights ended up defeated quite badly.

LULZ, what? I'm not talking about Hulk Hogan. I'm talking about a legit stud wrestler. If they get their hands on you, which they will, you're done.

Lol, man you need to be more specific. Are you talking Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, sumo wrestling, turkish oil wrestling or Sambo wrestling? There is so many types and each has its own advantages.
