Road Games...

Living in Utah and being a season ticket holder is one of the biggest dreams any true fan can have. Just second to that is to go watch some road games in the other team's house. This year I get the chance to do just that. My sister lives in Atlanta, and called me the other day and said, "If I can get tickets to the game when the Jazz come play Atlanta, will you come?" Ummm DUH!!! How could anyone turn that down. I warned her that I will be there with my cowbell, all my game-day gear on (jersey, warmups, etc.), and I will cheer loudly for our team. Rather than being nervous about that, she actually asked me to get her a new jersey so we can both sit there and proudly proclaim our allegiance.

So my two questions are this... First, do any of you fans go to watch our Jazz play road games in opponent's arena's? Secondly, are any of you Jazz fans going to be at the November 12th game in Atlanta, and want to meet up and chat before the game perhaps? I love meeting other fans of our team no matter where they are. Shoot me a reply in this post to those 2 questions if ya like.

I've never had the opportunity. I do know that sirkickyass has gone to a few games in various places.

CarolinaJazz told us once that he went to a Jazz game in Atlanta, although he then proceeded to tell us that he got the tickets for $10 or so and now he proceeds to tell us that he wouldn't pay $5 for a ticket to watch those clowns!

I'm not sure if there are any other Jazz fans in the south here, though it wouldn't shock me.

I have been to quite a few of the Jazz/Laker playoff games in L.A. but that's about it. If the Jazz ever make the finals again, I'll follow them there.

I've been to games in LA (Lakers) and Chicago. Both experiences were really nice and Staples is just godly. The United Center was nice as well and the crowd still loves Deron.

I live in denver so I've seen the jazz play there many times including a couple of times during the stockton malone era. My fav game was game 2 last year. People were talking tons of trash since I wore my dwill jersey. Seeing the look on their face when we won was priceless.

I was there and it was pretty fantastic. My favorite part of the Denver games was the palpable way you could feel the fans in the building getting nervous with every JR Smith shot.

They always seem to play the Bulls in Chicago right around my birthday! Tickets to the game make a great birthday present :-)

I can't speak for other arenas, but I'm always surprised how many people I see wearing Jazz gear at these games! I go to about 10 Bulls games a year against various opponents, and it seems I don't see many folks wearing those opponents' jerseys.
(but maybe I pay more attention to it at the Jazz games, I dunno)

(edit: also probably due to the D-Will/Illinois and Jerry Sloan/Original Bull connections...)

Since I'm in Denver, I go to the games here everytime we play them. I go with all my Jazz gear, and since i'm with my 2 brothers we always talk back to the drunks hehe. If surrounding fans start getting smart, we can be REALLY annoying LOL.

In fact can't wait till this Wednesday.. going to the Season Opener.!!

I went to a game in Atlanta back when Stockton played.... Jazz ran them out of the building.. It was lots of fun.
I as well except it was Dallas and went to 2x games back in 96-97 or it could've been 97-98 obviously they weren't very good back then and there weren't a lot of fans so it made all the Jazz fans stick out a lot more.

Nice. Dwill played unbelievable in that game, maybe his best playoff performance to date. I was real nervous when the nuggs took the lead near the end and got all the momentum back, but our guys were so clutch, especially Korver with that dagger 3. Probably my fav game I've been to.

Philly- 5 times
New York- 3 times
Washington DC- 2 times
New Jersey- 1 time
Boston- 1 time

My record is 6-6. Izod Center sucked, I look foward to the Prudential Center this season. Newark is a much easier, less congested drive than East Rutherford.

I went to all five last season and plan on doing the same thing this season. Long five hour drive to Boston but it's on a Friday.

You went to the Izod center at the wrong time.

I witnessed history.

Yes I was at that game

road games in charlotte and philly

I used to go to bobcats games when I lived in East Tennessee.... sat behind the Boozer family, Boozer's sister is a hoot who got into it with some hecklers. Some guys behind me started shouting boozer loser chants and Boozer's Dad stared him down... scary mean lookin dude. I was there with my young son and was ready to grab him and run if a brawl ensued.

At another game, I say the Giricek/ Sloan shouting match/ tos up-close-and personal, which was quite the scene.

Now I'm in Philly and watch the jazz-sixers each year. Thinking about Nets/ Wizard/ Knicks this year as well.

The only road Jazz game I went to was in 2003 when they played at New Orleans for the Hornets' inaugural season there. It was Stockalone's last year, so was I glad to get to see them one last time. Too bad we lost that game.
