Rodney Hood Refuses to Enter Game in Garbage Time

I dont think even the staunchest of Hood haters could see Hood being this bad.

Dude might not get QO from Cleveland and sign a 1 year deal to be some bottom feeder's tank commander.

was the friction between Hood and Jazz management just based on the fact he wasn't being utilized as the primary guy or were there other factors ? Did he really think if he forced his way out he'd be used more somewhere else ?

He wants to be a starter because starters get paid more. In Cleveland I think most people thought he would be better than JR, who had looked like garbage all season. I dont think its as much about being the primary guy as just having that distinction of being a NBA starter.

I don't know if there were other factors, but I do remember that there were reports after the trade from Jazz insiders that Hood was unhappy in his role. Seems like it's the same in Cleveland. It looks like he envisions himself being a better player than he currently is.

I can't imagine being a guy who refuses to enter a game can do anything positive for his career.

I feel bad for Hood. He is a really nice guy. hope he finds a place in offseason. maybe orlando?

Hood is virtually worthless. Poor outside shooter. Never saw a decent box score from this guy while playing for the Cavs. There's a reason they sent him in to mop up in garbage time.

What a strange turn of events.

Many many times we've seen players excel or do better here than their next team(s).

Hood needs to play for a loser, get big minutes, and feel like "the guy". Of course in jeans half of the time.

Dumb, the trade to Cleveland cost him millions.

And it could end him up behind the bench - Cleveland may opt for size against Boston and dress Perkins.
