Can someone remind me why exactly we hate him? All I remember is him playing poorly and criticizing Corbin for his game plans and rotations, then get disciplined for being a locker room cancer which I read as inciting players against the coach.
Would we hate on Marvin too if he started bitching about Ty this season?
 
I've said for a while that he never deserved the hate. He played pretty well his last year here all things considered and nobody likes Corbin so
 
That is what I always found ironic about Jazzfanz hate for Bell. He was complaining about the same things the majority of the board was, but they hated him.
 
He is the only "winner" of this season...he took his salary without effort. He was right 100% to criticize Corbin!
In addition his competitive spirit could have been valuable this year.

Looking at their stats per36 Raja was shooting less with higher percentages and less turnovers. He is worse only in rebounding which is sort of expected. He was a worse defender than Marvin but he was more vocal.

Um no, he was complaining about his own playing time, which we were also complaining about, but in the opposite sense. So I guess you're half right.

Actually I think there were a number of people on the jazz who did this.....including TyCo. Sidney Lowe did too, and probably didn't even pay taxes on his, so he made out like a friggin' bandit.
 
I feel like the "official Marvin Williams please don't accept your player option" thread needs to be made. Raja > Marvin.

I think Marvin will be much better with Al gone. And, I think Marvin is a good 7th or 8th man.
However, having said that, I won't shed any tears should he not exercise his option.
 
This is a great thread. Shows how crazy Jazzfanz is.

I don't hate any of the players. Its the coach and management that bother me more. Most of these guys are just normal dudes with bad days and are just trying to do there best. Some are lazy or selfish, and I don't really like those players. But just as basketball player. In real life I'm sure the ones we think we would like, we wouldn't, and the ones we think we don't like are actually the best dudes. Its just a game. Ill express my dissatisfaction by just not cheering or paying for the product. I don't even like that people boo their own players. Wtf? That's just stupid. There's a line you have to draw between being fans, and being a crazy person stalking someone at there workplace, and trying to make them feel terrible about themselves.
 
IIRC, the hate for Roger was more of him bitching about his own PT when he didn't deserve any, at least that's how it was perceived at the time (that he was getting benched and what an outrage it was). Though in retrospect he was spot on about Ty.
