Romney Fundraiser - Secret Taping

I saw PKMs argument as being about what I said, not the sources for what i said.

I'm not PKM. I do not speak for him and I am not responsible for him. Am I bringing in what Salty said in relation to you?

No, focus.

Stoked, you were injecting yourself into a back and forth between me and PKM.
focus yourself.

This is public forum of which I am a part. I can inject my self into any conversation on these threads that I wish. You do understand that is what happens on a public forum correct?

Of course you do. Because if had truly wanted this to be a private one on one conversation with PKM you would have done it in PMs.

Ah, ****, we've turned this into another thread on spending, the Roger Braille of political topics.

Everyone here has a bad imagination for that topic and we keep coming back to it. Break out your Keynes, Franklin.... at least that'll bring people into the twentieth century instead of this gold-in-your-mattress ****.

Of which northeast has monthly, I am certain.

Really?

If we can just get through this election and maybe the next, we should be OK. The Republican party will be mostly powerless in 10, 15 years. More Latinos, old conservative white people dying off, and people in general ever so slowly getting smarter - yeah they got nowhere to go but down.

That's an interesting thought, but I don't really buy that either.
First off, it's not like non-white majority countries have everything figured out so much better.
Second, I doubt that happens anyway.
It seems likely that the two parties will always manage to split the issues in such a way as to keep the country divided 50 50 in perpetuity, and resisting improvements on economic issues.

Agreed.
This is why the two party system will not last in my opinion.
How many times do democrats and republicans have to continue to screw the pooch, before the people finally rise up and take the country back?

People will not change until they are uncomfortable being the way they are.

You'll need to usher in world peace before seeing any serious discussion on your utopian vision of transforming humanity into something that it clearly is not. It's a dog eat dog world out there and we need growth to fight the Russians fight the commies fight the Osama fight the ayatollah save the Jerusalem laugh at the Castro piss off the Chavez. Fight fight fight!

Oh yeah, that's always the case.

I realized this over 4 years ago, but I make less then half of what anybody else makes on this board.
The lower middle class see the real problems in this country, while the upper just hover above it aimlessly.

I'm sorry but I see that as a load of crap. Each group sees nothing more than their own problems.

Oil prices just dropped about 9% in the last week,
Pearl, did Romney just get elected? Keep us posted on these things!

I think the % of people who work for the government is more of a problem than the percentage who don't pay income tax.
There are a whole buttload of liberals who have cushy government jobs.

Not the case when it comes to myself, and most others I know that are either work part time, are unemployed, or haven't been able to find work for months.
We all have much in common, but people with money are so comfortable with their lives, that they haven't seen these problems come to fruition yet.

Case and point, I don't believe in higher taxes for the rich.
In fact, I don't believe in a federal income tax at all.

My experience is that there are a lot of people in government jobs who lean Republicans and complain about the government spending and interfering with the free markets. They should do the honorable thing, quit, and go work for McDonalds or somethin, dam hypocrites.
