Romney's The Man

I thought he would have waited till Romney beat him in PA on the 24th. Not suprised he dropped but I am suprised he did it now.

Get ready for things to really heat up betweent he left and right.

So could Romney beat Obama?

I'm guessing he'll head soft on abortion and take more of a modern LDS stance attempting to attract women. They will decide this election. There's no way he wins them right now. There's no way Santorum or Gingrich would have ever won the female vote. Romney is the best guy for the republicans to put against Obama.

I think he can but I am not sure he will.

@ Zulu that played into it but he could see the writing on the wall anyways.

@ Franklin. I agree that women voters are the key in this election. Santorum/Gingrich backers will flock to Romney because they want Obama out. Idependents, especially independent women, are the key.

Still voting for Paul.

I'm not sure who I want to win, Romney or Obama -- they're both pure dog ****.

It would seem like Obama is ripe for being beaten. Unemployment is not great, and IMO that may be the most important number to look at in any election. Then again Romney may not be the candidate to do it. I remember thinking anyone could beat that idiot Bush in 2004, but John Kerry was one of the least inspired candidates ever.

I still haven't forgiven the Dems for that.

I'm guessing it is because of his daughter.

It's his daughter as well as where he currently stands politically. If Romney loses in the general then he can conceivably do what he did this year(Romney) and run in 2016. If he were to draw this out and lose his home state of Pennsylvania(which could have happened) then he would have hurt his career going forward.

Is it just me, or do Romney and Obama seem pretty similar?

Politically, no. One is a moderate Republican and the other borders upon Socialism. That being said, they are both similar I guess in their personal standings. I believe neither can relate to the average American. Obama tries to pretend that he can now but he is also one of those hated 1% people.

Depends on what the etch-a-sketch says that week. Mr. Romney has never had a constant thought, word, or policy other than "SAY AND DO EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING TO GET ME ELECTED! I WANT POWER!"

Which... To me... Is scary. I understand politicians need to flip flop. But the amount Mittens has? Jeez. It makes you wonder if he really does have an independent mind. When will he become a leader? Once he's finally elected? Or will he constantly be letting others bully him around?

Holy ****....I hear Brazil is a nice place to live.

And it is. Ever eaten at Tucanos or Rodizios? Amazing food.

Sao Paulo is the "New York" of the country.

Plenty of jobs and foreigners there. I personally wouldn't really want to work in Sao Paulo. Travel 45 mins-60 mins south to Santos. One of the biggest port cities. Haliburton and Petrobras I heard are doing a lot of exploration in the "Santos Basin." I guess there are a lot of oil deposits off the coast.

If you're looking for paradise on earth, you would definitely want to travel up north to places like Maceio, Recife, Fortaleza... I'm guessing the job outlook has improved there and they're certainly modernizing... It just hasn't exactly kept up with places in the south...
