Has the VP debate ever produced any significant results?
I'm glad we all agree that only VP debates that reaffirm our preconceived opinions are valid.

Funny yet not surprisingly, Framer has suddenly disappeared. LOL
He talked a cute talk, was wrong about everything, was proven wrong, and doesn't have the courage to own it.
Typical of today's GOP, where they demand accountability from others while never admitting their own failures.
The reason people stop conversations with you is you are a mix between a zealot and a schizophrenic.
It's very difficult to have a reasonable conversation, or even a reasonable argument with you... fyi.

I concur. Thriller and northeast, both.
Look, I take it as a given that passion counts more than any reasonable argument. If we can't manage to work up a little passion, and disregard reason to some extent, I think we have lost our most basic element of humanity.
If I want a very smart, even intellectual view of the world, I'll go to the Council of Foreign Relations website and read what they have there on almost any subject. But both Thriller and Kicky are worth having in here, passion and all. If they weren't doing what they do in here, I might have have to do it myself.
But progressives are just bad missionaries. It's the whole "we've got to make everybody see it our way, or bust" routine that smells like somebody camped out on the lawn in front of city hall with banners and bullhorns. Ideologues sold out to somebody else's cause, and unable to see their own real interests, that make them easy marks for moderates. Or even conservatives with just as much of a load of ideology.
when entering into a discussion with humans, I don't expect it to be easy "to have a reasonable conversation" or argument. Just deal with their ideas and love the folks that have them.

Please do not group the two of us together. I think the tactics we use are markedly different.

PKM I've wasted countless hours reading your dumb posts. It's not my fault you rarely make a logical connection between your ramblings and the topic at hand.
On his website Ryan lists "Rage Against The Machine" as one of his favorite bands.
He should probably take a closer look at some of their lyrics.
I never have a problem with an opposing view. I don't even have a problem with being called stupid for my own views. I just hate when people engage you in a conversation, only to ignore everything you say and answer with, "Nuh-uh, you're wrong, because." (and do that over and over)
Looking at you northeast.
If he gives a "because" doesn't that mean he read what you wrote?
