Rondo being shopped hard.

Boston is aggressively shopping Rondo, according to sources. The Celtics find Rondo's personality to be too high-maintenance and his clashes with coach Doc Rivers continue. With the Celtics having realized they are no longer title contenders, they don't believe the payoff is worth the headaches Rondo brings, sources say. And they do not want to build around him. Not really like what they are saying about him. Sounds like a Dwill clone. But at least we know he's available. Curious if KOC is actively looking at it or is staying away because he doesn't want a Dwill repeat.

I'd give up a lot, but not sure how to quantify that.

Jefferson or Millsap plus Golden State pick + (An expiring contract).

They get a solid role player, a pick, and an expiring contract. Would they do it? Maybe not, but maybe there is nothing else better out there being offered.

They do it because they have a ton of money coming off the books next year and can be a major player in FA. Millsap would give them a solid PF of the future, or 6th man off the bench. If the GS pick is used this year it could be a high quality big man or Austin Rivers (Doc's son of course). Also getting rid of Rondo would lower their pick.

I don't think they would. They've had Jeff and know what he's all about and I think Doc would be hesitant to consider the undersized Millsap after having Garnett. Pick or not.

Rondo for anyone but the rookies/sophomores would be an absolute steal. Get it done KOC, oh please get it done.

Agree with everything.

Unlike most here, I'd be willing to part with Hayward or Burks to get Rondo. Maybe not Favors or Kanter, but the other two, sure. And like you said, I'm not sure they're going to get a better offer than what we could give them.

Al and Harris would be the best for us, and maybe a pick if need be. I don't want to lose Burks. I think he might have the best chances of our 4 young guys of being a star.

I doubt they want Harris, though they might. I think they would be interestd in Sap's contract long-term only. I think they are looking for young talent or picks and expiring contracts.

I'd give Hayward and Burks .. I have no loyalty, just want to win.

/jerkness

i can think of 3 teams we can make trade;boston, milwaukee, houston, they are all inneed of PF and C,but than we have to give up favors or kanter

miles, carroll, harris for rondo..we give them 3 things, they give us only one,,good deal for boston

Or Jefferson if they'd rather have him. I'd be reluctant to give up Burks, Favors, or Kanter, but honestly could probably give up Hayward if we received their late first as well. Rondo is a hell of a point guard and most importantly you can tell he HATES TO LOSE.

If they want one of our youngs I would first part with Gordon Hayward but that means they don't get our first rounder (GSW pick) but also they need to take back Devin Harris. If they want our first rounder then they get that with Harris and filler (ie. Evans or Howard). Thoughts? I would not want to part with any of our young guys but if I had to in this order would be my willingness...Hayward, Burks, Favors, or Kanter. Also I could care less whether we part with Millsap or Jefferson, they aren't championship big men or maybe not even playoff big men.

I'd rather keep Burks than Hayward, as well. But at the same time, I think Hayward might be a better pair with Rondo in the back court. A Rondo/Burks back court really scares me from a shooting stand point. Though, I guess Hayward hasn't looked like such a great shooter lately either. Tough call.
