What's new

Rondo being shopped hard.

From what I read Celtics fans want to trade for Curry and that trade had legs earlier in the year and fell through. A lot of others want a big man in return like Gasol. I think Lakers would be a great three way trade partner. Lakers might just skip us to get him but I think the Lakers would like Harris, Millsap and a pick. I could live with trading Millsap for the right trade I dont know that I could live with him in a Lakers uniform though but if it got us Rondo with out giving up a young player then maybe. Celtics fans also seem to want expiring contracts (cj?) since they can be players in the free agent market.

Utah has a glut upfront, would prefer Millsap + Harris if RR is going + a #1 + JO (who could then be waived)
Nobody hated on it and a few liked it.

Though what the fans want means nothing in the end.

One rumor says GS wants Rajon so the can try and get Dwight in free agency. I could think of some great three way trades where they get rondo and we get Curry. Curry is not the defender or passer that Rondo is but he is a hell of a lot better shooter which is in high demand here.

Isn't Rondo's game based off getting assists? Do we even have someone who can get the ball in the basket? To me, we can't even hit free throws, let alone jump shots.

Good detective work broncster. You've been promoted to our chief detective. Keep up the good work, and Franklin will be happy to give you a raise.

Why don't they shop him when he's flaccid?
I just KNEW someone was going to go there. You know what the ladies say: a good man is hard to find and a hard man is good to find. So the Jazz need to do whatever it takes to get Rondo.

Seriously, though, I wouldn't want to see any of the young 4 included in a deal. The original "Big 3" made Rondo. He's a good PG, but I don't think he's Top 5. To give up a future starting big (or even a lottery pick such as Burks or Hayward) plus a likely starting SF (the GS pick) + an additional asset such as Millsap? We felt like we robbed NJ by getting Harris and three lottery picks. Now Utah would be giving up even more to get Rondo?

It is nice to know what other fans think because they know there players best.

Im remember researching what minnesota fans thought of big al when we got him and they all hated his game, and hated that he was a black hole. KOC should have done some trolling of his own before he made that trade. Instead he is a stat guy and just looked at his numbers. Fire KOC now!

I didn't really think Celtic fans would want to move him but they seem to. They are extremely unhappy with their team's current situation and want big moves to change it, including trading Rondo. Talk about the grass always being greener. And the consensus seems to be that "Boston isn't trading Rondo for anything less than a package to get a superstar or another perennial all-star." (from a Celtic fan on a Celtic site.)

I can see the Lakers shopping hard time to get Rondo. They are in terrible need of a PG. But the Jazz have more pieces. I can't see the Lakers giving up Bynum or Gasol for anyone but Howard.

I agree they would want him bad, they have the shooters to put around him as well. I also think the Lakers would love Harris for a good deal, for the same reason.

I wasn't excited about the Al trade for many of the same reasons (individual stats but not wins, black hole, etc.), but are you really suggesting that KOC should base his trade decisions on the opinions of disenchanted fans from another team? If he ever bases a decision on what a message board thinks over his own or his staff's assessment, THAT's when he should be fired because he's paid to make those decisions, not set up a poll on JazzFanz or flip a coin.

Even though I wasn't thrilled about getting Al in 2010, there was some chance that the bad rap on him was related to him being a decent player on crappy teams. The Jazz rolled the dice on Al improving in a winning environment. Unfortunately, Al either killed the winning environment, contributed to killing it, or it died anyway even before Sloan and Deron left. Does that mean KOC screwed up? Obviously the end result hasn't worked out, but doesn't KOC also get accused of never gambling? He gambled on this one...but he lost.

No im not serious that he should troll fan boards. But its his job to know what the rap on him is. He should have considered it. He should have asked himself why do they want to go with a darko/love combo and not an al/love combo. He should have done some film study and make a good basketball decision. Did he just barely figure out that to be a good team you need fluid ball movement. Lets not forget that he paid three first rounders for him too. And basically boozer. Say what you will about koufus but having him right now would be better for this team and its future. Koufus by the way could blossom late like kris humphries.

Just like how dumb *** chicago should have known the rap on boozer. I still laugh that they signed him to that much. Thats going to hurt them for a while..

It amazes me that these teams dont know what the fans know about these players

I hear you, but every once in a while a player does flourish in a new location. I wondered if it might with Al because he had been on some bad teams. Which was the chicken and which was the egg?

Like the players, coaches and GMs in this league are also a little full of themselves. They think they can work miracles and turn players' careers around. But often there's a reason they NEED to be turned around in the first place.

What 5 PG's would you put ahead of Rondo?
