I'd vote for Paul 1000000000000000 times before I'd ever vote for Romney. For me, it's a trust issue. I can't trust Romney! He was a liberal in the 90s, a moderate (that's what he campaigned on in the last campaign) in the early 2000s, and now he's trying so hard to pander to the far right.
To me, it comes across as desperate. He seems to crave the white house too much. He would have been better off sticking to his guns and let people like/dislike him by what he stood for. Just like Paul. Love him or hate him, the dude doesn't BS. He doesn't run away from his ideals. He doesn't cave to pander to a specific faction. Which is what I had hoped Romney to be. Instead, I, like most Americans, have no clue what he stands for. Other than, of course, flip flopping and saying anything to be liked.
In Basketball terms, he's that sucky player with potential who isn't confident enough in his abilities to stand up and let his "game" do his talking. He's... CJ Miles. He might make a lot of sense one day (score 30 points and actually look like Ray Allen) or completely flip flop the next (5 points off 2-13 shooting). Does CJ have the ability to beat Obama? Sure! He's talented and super sexy for scouts. But you never know what to expect.
Ron Paul, is like Millsap. He's undersized. Not nearly as sexy as Griffin or Amare. But like it or not, you know what he's going to bring to the table night in and night out. He doesn't impress scouts. He looks like he was born during the civil war. He talks weird with big eyes wide open. Just like Millsap, scouts look at his size and talent and they go, "hmmm meh." But you know what he brings to the table.
