I'm cool with that route. I would want to get a PGOTF type in if we go that route. Or at least supplement our playmaking with a wing that is a good passer. If Dunn stays healthy he can be the steady option there. Just want to make sure we have an option there that is getting Lauri/Kessler in positions to score efficiently.

If Tyus or Monte Morris was real cheap I'd also bring them in... I am not betting on THT even though he showed some improvement and flashes.
 
One thing to prepare for this summer. We will be mentioned with every trade candidate at some point since we have a crap ton of assets and teams will want to start rumors true or otherwise. It will be tough… but if you hear we are interested in Deandre Ayton… don’t flip out… just go see what Monty has said and trust his thought. You are welcome.

If we didn’t have Kessler I bet we’d be in the mix for Ayton.

Not pictured… Georges Effing Niang. Minivan reunion coming. Couple years 5M per to be the bench good vibes guy who sometimes grabs the opponent when he needs to. Buy Crumble Cookie stock now… the return is happening.
 
I have a strong feeling that if we win the Wemby sweepstakes we will trade the pick for Luka. And while having Luka + all of our assets and players would be extremely exciting, I still feel like I'd rather just have Wemby.

Adding more in addition to the Wemby pick for Doncic I would absolutely hate.

I think the Heat will save future picks for a star trade so they may not be able to dump Duncan Robinson... but I keep hearing how desperate teams will be to offload salary and think there is a good opportunity there. I think 28 for 18 and Oladipo (who is likely done for the year) is a solid use of 9.4M of our cap space. Leaves them enough room to maybe keep one of Max Strus or Gabe Vincent or be near the tax line if they let those guys walk.
 
I would like the Jazz to bring Justin Jackson, Josh Jackson, Frank Jackson, Chandler Hutchison and Jabari Parker to camp on non-guaranteed deals and see if they have any tread left on the tires.
 
One of the first priorities I would have is how to turn Clarkson (and Olynyk if possible) into something more future facing.

I wonder if Brooklyn might be interested in a SnT for one of their later 1sts or if packaging him with #16 or #28 could move them up.

Timing won’t work on that. FA has to open before a sign and trade can happen.

A couple trades I’ve been thinking and posted at times here…

28 and KO to Atlanta for Collins and 15.

28 to Miami for 18 and Oladipo (1 year left at 9M but likely out for the year)

Duncan Robinson into our space for 18 and a future pick… maybe we add 28 here. It’s worth way more than a swap but I also think Miami tries to trade for a star using future picks… so may not work.

Brooklyn might do something around Harris or DFS as they need to get off some salary. THT and 28 for Harris and 21 maybe?
