I'm surprised this hasn't been addressed formally yet, but Real Salt Lake are killing it this season. They are 2nd place in the league, just a few points behind LA Galaxy.
Last year at this time, RSL were fighting for the last playoff spot, ending the season 10-10-10 (I think), and taking everyone by surprise.
This year, as defending champions, there is a target on RSL's shirts, and so far they've done well to build a run towards repeating.
Some offense-minded guys to keep in mind on RSL:
Alvaro Saborio: guy has scored many times, and is good with the ball around the net.
Paulo: new dude from the Brazilian soccer system. Scored his first goal in his first game with RSL on Wednesday vs Toronto.
Robbie Findley: After an impressive 2009 championship season, he was chosen to represent RSL on the 2010 World Cup squad. He simply couldn't get the ball in the net during the World Cup tourney, and ever since he's been a shell of his former self. I'd love to see Robbie find his stride going into the playoffs.
DEFENSE
Beckerman: see pic below
Beltran: underrated defense, consistent
Jamison "Mother ****ing" Olave: also see pic below
Maybe some of you guys that like to post stats can do that here, because I'm just writing on my feelings and memories.
This is my favorite sport memory of my adult life:

(at :07, you get to see Donovan do a bump of cocaine)
I remember at :53 when Morales was ordered off the field due to injury, seeing him crying...it was an emotional way to start the game.
Then Gaylaxy scored.
Then 2:38...
And then PKs:
David Beckham's lame ****ing haircut and arm pump
Donovan's weak pre-shot ritual, skying it. LOL
Robbie "RSL" Russell...watching that shot hit, and him sink to his knees, then the rest of the team rans at him in celebration...still brings tears to my eyes.
RSL's goalkeeper, Nick Rimando, was the MVP. And rightly so:
Real Salt Lake: **** you!!!
