What's new

Rudy back to beasting... this changes everything.

I was high on Fesenko with his abilities. Him as a total package never worked out, which is 100% on him. I always thought he could be a Sabonis-type impact player (as in very talented and valuable but not an all star — not comparing their games at all).

But Collins, my goodness. Overall nice guy and managed to carve out 8 years and nearly 8,000 minutes for us, but holy hell. We protected him in the expansion draft (he wouldn’t have been taken) while exposing our first rounder from the previous year, and KOC went into an off-season saying “Re-signing Jarron Collins is our top priority this off-season,” as if 1) someone else was going to snatch him up and 2) that it would even matter if they did.

Who was our first rounder we exposed?

He needs to get the ball more. This team has been much worse at delivering catchable passes to him. I can excuse Donovan for some of this becuase he's still learning how to read those situations but the rest of the guys have to be better. He should be getting 16PPG easy just on rim dives and good passes. They have been available and guys just aren't throwing them or are throwing them badly. When Gobert is more engaged offensively he somehow seems to play with even more intensity defensively.

I thought the Jazz blew it big time when Boozer, KK and others walked and they traded KK to the Twolves along with many draft picks for Big Al. About all it got us was eeking into the playoffs and that was about it. That is one of those you wonder if they had held on to KK and the draft picks if the franchise would be better.

I'm glad to see Rudy like that!! Offensively I tell you guys he will improve... believe in him. He really can be a beast on the two sides. It's just about confidence. He improve his FT and it will increase more with confidence. Next step is his jumpshot maybe for the next years to come. We can notice that he is less hesitating to take a jumpshot now. It's will take times before Rudy is a complete in offense but I'm sure he will be a beast when he will be 27 to 38 years old. Good for us in long term!!

I told you, u gonna see more and more jumpshot from rudy! one jumpshot more against the Magics. Don't forget than before to be a center, Rudy used to play a long time as small forward when he was younger. I told you, it's just about confidence. I gonna improve and become a beast!!!

We've all sensed it for a little while. After a lackluster start to the season and coming off of basically back-to-back injuries(neither really his fault), Rudy showed signs of getting back to his salute. He looked for contact again. He ran with purpose and confidence. His chin was a little higher and his demeanor even more serious. His swagger was in check but you could sense that it was about to return. He just needed that breakout game. Then last night happened. The anchor rode was let out and once again the anchor did his thing. Our motors held us in place but now that the anchor is here to steady the ship...

Ok, enough of this cheese, Rudy is ****ing back! This could get really good.
torture that metaphor, bruh

If Rudy had been healthy all year let's say the Jazz win 5 more games. The Jazz would be 3rd in the West right now.

That kiss off the glass was nice. As were the power dunks. Rudy was a bit pissed tonight. I like it.

Rudy has hit like (not positive) 6 of his 9 jump shots this year from 20 feet.

He is gaining confidence on the offensive end and is doing more with the ball further away from the hoop.

Even his ft% is respectable.

Favors has been beasting, but Jerebko opened up the paint for Rudy last night when he started.

Surprised we didn't put the game away sooner.

I liked the little behind the back pass from rudy to spida out by the three point line at the end of the game last night. I chuckled. I love Gobert and love seeing him do things that seem to be out of his comfort zone. Behind the back passes, between the legs passes, dribble drives, jumpers, getting a defensive rebound and leading a fast break, post up moves, etc. Keep em coming rudy. Keep surprising us and entertaining us.

And the dunks. I like them too ;) (seemed like he had about 5 dunks last night)

I heard Locke on the radio saying Gobert is arguably a top 5 player in the NBA right now. Although I disagree with this, this undoubtedly shows Gobert's progress not only from the injuries, but also from looking like he wasn't mentally there and hungry earlier in the season. Glad to see him back in this form. He's fun to watch.

Also, Synder's coaching is damn near impeccable. I think the part that makes him a great coach is the players truly like him and are completely bought into him. This also shows how big of a pos Hayward was.
