Rudy deserves the first player of the week award. He is killing it. Averaging right at 19 and 19. 14 defensive boards. Carrying the team realistically. Steph got it of course because he is Steph and has had a great week, but Rudy is underappreciated for what he does around the league. He deserves it.

Agreed. But that first half against Jokic will raise too many eyebrows.

Jokic scored way too easily… Rudy didn’t bother him at all last night. He’s so good but I would think Rudy could take something away. That was concerning to see that it isn’t just that Rudy has other responsibilities… it’s that 1 on 1 Jokic just destroyed him.

Yeah but it wasn't really 1 on 1 when we didn't have anyone else who could disrupt the passing Lanes. Everyone was getting exactly where they wanted to go so gobert had to constantly be watching over his shoulder. If we had taken away the passing Lanes I think it would have been different.

Rudy helped off a little and Jokic hit a couple threes… other than that Jokic went right at him and got buckets in the paint. Not a scenario where Rudy needed to be looking around. I love Rudy… he’s capable of better… Jokic owned him last night.
 
Either Rudy can help and Jokic destroys him but others are limited or he can focus on Jokic and try to take something away. He didn’t do either… that’s gotta fall on his shoulders at some point. Ayton have Jokic issues… not that he’s better than Rudy… it can be done.
 
The raw stats are crazy but I don't actually think he's played that amazing so far. He had some good minutes in the SAC and DEN games, but outside of that he hasn't been at his standard, The DEN game he was pretty bad for most of the game and his numbers got boosted by the hacking.
 
I think we need to let Rudy go for lock down on one guy when we play Jokic or KAT. Rudy has done it before on KAT. You either have to have the perimeter guys pick up the slack or you run Hassan and Rudy together. The latter may sound stupid but what we’re doing doesn’t work.
 
I mean the Jazz have won 3 of the last 4 against Denver, a majority of those on a SEGABABA. It appears that they may have something figured out. Denver has been entirely unable to defend Utah for a long time.

nah, but Rudy - Pashell or Rudy- Gay might make some sense
 
****ing finally! I hope he and/or DM are in the MVP talks this year. They both deserve to be.
