Pretty hilarious how selfish some people are here that they would rather the team's star players miss out on getting some well deserved recognition from their peers/media/coaches because they want them to get rest. Also not wanting players to get all star recognition is ignorant of the different benefits of having one or two all stars has for FA/trades/etc.
Seriously? The Marquee player from a championship franchise with strong media presence? It's not about LMA vs RG, it's market driven. The NBA will gain more from a spur being in the ASG over a jazz player. Anyone who thinks "but the spurs are a small market team" does not really understand what small market means.
I was gonna bring this up. The all Star game isn't strenuous. It's basically a vacation. And a nice time to hang out with other premier players in the league and maybe become friends with them. (Recruit them, wink wink)

I've always been curious about the gsw and their players with regard to this. Seems like a lot them get invested in companies out that way after arrival (Iggy as an example). Probably not illegal per se but a way to pay there players more with help in smart investing.
