Rudy Gobert has got to go

Why argue with people who never played organized basketball and consistently provide moronic takes on the game? Jazzfanz 101 is to make Jazz fans seem the most uninformed fan base in the nation. Anyone who can't admit that a healthy Favors makes Gobert expendable as a serious trade chip is a basketball dunce, plain and simple.

Oh, and whoever was complaining that Gobert has bad hands and praising Favors for the same clearly hasn't been watching games. Favors is dropping stupid easy passes to catch left and right. Gobert isn't.
You make a great point. 90% of what I've written in here is defending myself from what people think I said, meant or made up e.g. someone just bitched about me making this thread and the title. For holy ****'s sake. The reading comprehension is down right as pathetic on here imho.

It's not comprehension. Some people love their righteous indignation and create false scenarios to engage in it.

I looked at post 51. All it says is a single word. Yes.

It was a post from cy. If you want to find out if cy thinks rudy is untouchable then ask him if he would tade rudy for lebron, or durant, or harden, or steph, or kahwi, or davis, etc etc.

I'm pretty sure that there is someone in the league that cy would trade rudy for.

No one thinks that Gobert is the best player in the nba. No one thinks he is untouchable.

Don't be silly.

I usually take people at their word. Yes means yes and no means no. Cy answered in a way that I took his word for it. If he meant something else, that's fine. It really doesn't matter to me either way. You don' think he's untouchable and neither do I.

I was just checking a couple of highlights this year to compare with some last year. It's painfully obvious the offense is not giving Rudy the same looks he got last year. I hope that can change when he gets back. I feel like it was a big deal last year.

because rubio is so over-rated out the ***.

he always played with big men with increadible offensive skill sets. He's not an NBA level player.

This is why GMs deal in year sample sizes, not 6 game sample sizes.
If they’re decent, yes. Don’t underestimate the level that stupidity can rise to, though. There have been plenty of GMs who are fairly indistinguishable from the average fan (or worse). Kahn comes to mind.

You're right in a way but the problem with your argument is that there is no such a thing as a healthy Favors. Even now, when he is supposedly healthy, the only thing keeping him together, I think, is the fact that he has been shying away from contact... and I say this having watched most of the games. Look at his rebounding numbers, especially on defense; or at the fact that nowadays he almost never receives the ball on the post. Both are, let's say, "strategies" adopted by him and Snyder to keep him from getting seriously hurt, I think. That means Favors is never going to be more than a complementary player both on offense and defense. Overall, despite shooting much better from outside the paint, Favors is not close to where he was three seasons ago and he was no All-Star at that point.

In my opinion, Favors will go down as the biggest disappointment in our team's history. We have never had more hope or patience in a guy who turned out so average.

I really hate being mean, but its just the truth.

Favors was far above average. A disappointment, yes, given his physical gifts.
