Report: Gordon Hayward could sign with Heat in free agency this summer

... that there are “whispers” that All-Star forward Gordon Hayward could end up with the Miami Heat this offseason if the Utah Jazz can't re-sign him.

Full Story...

There was talk about this yesterday in the General NBA Forum. Frank Isola is behind this rumor and he has zero credibility.

Basically, Hayward is a free agent so he could sign with the "insert team here".

I was listening to Locke on the radio and he said he believes Hayward has pretty much already made up his mind. What that means, I don't have a clue.

I really do think it is down to Utah or Boston. And Boston just took the #1 seed from the Cavs... Utah needs to get to the 2nd round.

Lol. Boston is no closer to the title by being the one seed. It is either LeBron or the west champs that are winning the title. Short stack and the celtics are not doing anything special. If they were in the west, they are at least five games worse than they are now.

But they are not in the west. They are in the east so their road to the championship round is easier. Cavs, Raptors and Wiz are the only decent to real competition. None of them are so hard to beat like a couple western teams.

So it does matter. How much is the question. I think Hayward picks Utah but Boston is right there.

Miami actually has some Jazz like assets in Dragic and Whiteside to surround him with.. I'd rather see him there than on OKC or Boston TBH.

I think the Bucks will get there if they can skip 1 or 2 misses in their ping pong decision making scheme.

Who knows how much tougher the competition will be in the East in a year or two. Though the total dominance of the West (at least in terms of 1-8 teams) lately has been pretty consistent.

That's even more reason for Hayward to go to Boston. Easier path to the finals. More media coverage. More money.

Gordon Hayward will have a statue in from of the Delta Vivent Energy Solutions Salt Palace some day... you'll see.

LMAO at Hayward leaving to play with a midget instead of playing next to Gobert.

Some of you have lost your minds.

I'd be shocked if he left, really. Great young team thats competing. Has a DPOY candidate next to him and smart FO. I get the worries about Boston, I really do. But I dont think Boston is a better team than us, they just play in the east.
That's it...easier way to the finals really
