Rumor: Jazz prepared to match 'any offer' for Hayward.

I think he says this because of Favors' extension. Both the amount and timing.

I just feel like Favors was reasonable with his contract and how it all played out. He benefitted because he got his contract inked and avoided the injury risk and the amount the Jazz offered was perfectly fair.

He could have waited to become a restricted free agent and I bet someone would have offered Favors upwards of $14 M to try prying him away, hell maybe a max. But he just looked at it and said okay that's a lot of money, that's plenty and keeping this core group together matters to me (this was specifically mentioned by Lindsey).

Yeah, that's cool that he did that. I don't have any ill will towards Hayward or anything, but that worked out well for the Jazz. As attention grabbing as this situation with Hayward is, it'd be doubled if Favors wasn't extended.
