RUMOR: Joe Ingles to be offered 4 years at $60M by Orlando

Love Ingles, but hey, the Magic can have him for that price.

Too bad, he was one of the real characters the Jazz have ever had.

Though I can find enough about his game and attitude that I like if the Jazz match. Still, I wouldn't.

Thread title is deceiving btw. Could somebody change it so that it's factually correct?

Obviously Bean doesn't read well, but don't make the rest of us suffer.

Sorry for being a dumbass, but what should it be changed to. That it's a rumor?

I love Ingles, but I wait until I know exactly what Hayward is doing before I really consider matching this deal. That's about 2x what I expected Jingles to get. Too bad the Jazz didn't extend him earlier as a long-term glue guy if he does get that kind of cash. Ouch.

The NBA salary situation has changed dramatically in the last few years. 15 million is what you should expect to pay for top role players in this environment.

I was worried Ingles would get some truly ridiculous offer, but I think we definitely bring him back at this price.

Evan Turner's contract comes to mind. I LOVE Joe Ingles, but how is the alleged offer sheet from Orlando any better than that? I'd hate to have Turner at that cost.

Stupid question but IF (if) Ingles wants he can turn down the supposed offer and take a home discount right?

Yes, he has to agree to the contract with a new team, or the Jazz. Jazz just have the option to match an offer he agrees to with another team.

Sure. But if he actually signs an offer sheet, at that point the only option is for the Jazz to match or not.
