RUMOR: Joe Ingles to be offered 4 years at $60M by Orlando

Hoods disappointing, injury riddled season last year was still so much better than Exum's.

That had nothing to do with opportunity though right?

Hood had to seriously wet the bed repeatedly to be even taken out of the starting lineup. I always hated that clearly both guys are confidence players, and the only one I ever heard being encouraged and talked up repeatedly by Q was Hood.

X's leash was legendarily short.

Injury riddled ... hmmm. Was Hood coming off an ACL?

Hood was hampered sure.

But imo... (and that's what this is right?) X has by far the higher ceiling. He has the potential to get to the line if he can use his speed more effectively. There is also potential for him to improve his rim finishing. He gets there often enough, next step finishing with greater proficiency. He also projects to be an excellent defender if he continues to be aggressive (but not be handsie).

Hood might become CJ Miles. Pretty good. If you think he could become Klay Thompson.. then so be it.

Hood averaged more PPG in his sophomore season than Miles has his whole career.

You guys are so stupid. Valuing points?? Idiots!

Caring about on court production in an NBA game? Madness!

What matters is having long arms and jumping high.

I mean its not far off from some comparisons. At 23
Miles averaged 12.8 points on 11.5 shots per game shooting .407 from the field.
Hood averaged 12.7 points on 11.3 shots per game shooting .408 from the field.

For their careers per 100 possessions:
Hood has shot .415, scored 23.6 points per game, averaged 5.9 rebounds, shot 4.0 fts at .818, averaged 4.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.4 blocks, 2.4 turnovers.
Miles has shot .427, scored 22.5 points per game, averaged 6.1 rebounds, shot 3.9 fts at .785, averaged 3.6 assists, 1.9 steals, 0.7 blocks, 2.5 turnovers.

Ha-ha-ha! Ironic the Clippers want him after they waived him! And they have an $8,400,000 exception to spend and nothing else. I hope Ingles' agent comes to DL and says, "The Clippers want to sign him." That way DL can counter, "OK - we'll do four years, $30,000,000."

Kind of amazed Gallinari and Ingles would meet with a team who has almost no money to spend, but that's cool for us.

Joe is going to LA in order to sit across the table from Doc and laugh his *** off. Then leave.

Ingles has lots of nice things about the Clippers and the organization who gave him a shot in the NBA. The Clippers also fully intended to keep Ingles and re-sign him after he cleared the Waivers until Utah swept in and took him. The Clippers were not happy about that.

IIRC, they had an injury and were kind of forced to keep a different player. You are right in that they hoped Ingles would clear waivers and then they could sign him. What a move by the Jazz to grab him. He's been such a great locker room guy. Who could have ever foreseen an end-of-bench player would get in shape at 29 yrs old and turn himself into a 3&D player. Can you imagine if Exum made that kind of leap?

Git 'er done, Dennis. Swoop in and sign him for 4/$50M. He gives up some "reported" cash for guaranteed bank. Jazz bring back a player who is as valuable off the court as he is on. Also have extra ammo for the Stayward campaign. How can Gordon possibly look in Joe's eyes and tell him he's taking his talents to South Beach.

Joe...start practicing the line, "you can't quit me, Gordon."
