RUMOR: Joe Ingles to be offered 4 years at $60M by Orlando

Nope that is not a good comparison at all. It's more like you bet someone you will score 40 points in a game and don't, but you have a bunch of excuses why you didn't and only scored 30. "Well I could have if I wanted but... "

It's literally nothing like that. He didnt talk to any team, but we have information a team wanted to offer him 60 million.

Any offer sheet a player doesnt sign is always going to be a rumor. Bontemps reported one but yall arent believing it for some reason, just because after the Magic got nay-nayed they denied it.

Yet, no offer was made. Nor could an offer be made since they didn't have cap room to make that kind of offer. The bet was he would get that offer, he didn't. Could he have got one? Probably. Did he? No. Did he get interest from teams? Yes. Does interest mean they actually made an offer? No. You have up talk to teams to get an offer.

Yeah cuz teams never make deals then clear space after an agreement is made in the moratorium.

The report was made by a reputable journalist.

Not an actual offer.

Besides you said he didn't talk to other teams. How do you get an offer without talking to them?

Did Ingles say he didn't talk to other teams?

Wanting to make an offer isn't making an offer. You keep digging your grave deeper.

Did he talk to any team so they could offer him?

If you bet Jazz beat the Nuggets, but the game gets cancelled, do you lose the bet? No, it pushes.
Free agency didn't get cancelled. Joe Ingles screwed you on the bet.
Nothing was cancelled. Joe Ingles made a choice. Free agency took place. Ingles signed a deal as a free agent.
It would be like if I bet jazz beat nuggets and jazz are down one point and ingles has an easy breakaway layup with no defender there in the final seconds and he just holds on to the ball and doesn't even attempt the layup.

You didn't answer the question btw. It was a yes or no question.

Tell you what, Cy... I'm so confident that I won the bet that I think we should take a Jazzfanz poll and let the masses decide so we can stop talking about this. In fact, let's make a bet. I bet I will win the poll. Two months of avatar. Are you on?

As an uninformed voter can someone quote the bet and what was being betted on for me? There's seems to be a lot of discussion about something that should be black or white.

**** the masses. They are idiots and will vote against me no matter what. Just look at how I lost the last poll I was in despite being the clear right choice.

A report was made the Magic were offering him 60 million.

Jingles only met w/ Utah.

Magic then denied the offer because you dont look good when a FA doesnt sign w/ you for more money and goes to Utah for less.

Common sense.

Tim Bontemps is a good reporter, not some hack.

Please show me where teams say "Yeah we offered this player X amount of money but he turned us down". You are never going to get an official report like that from a team regarding contract offers unless they are max deals (like the stuff Hayward went through) or the player actually signs them.

So the proof Colton and you clowns needed was always going to be impossible to achieve. Tim Bontemps made the report, I just trust the report. If you want to deny the report based on nothing other than the Magic saving face then go ahead.

*planning to offer him $60. Not offered him. You can't offer anything without meeting with them.

Sorry, I'll just quote you word for word:

"He didnt talk to any team, but we have information a team wanted to offer him 60 million." -Cy

So you just said they wanted to, but did not meet with him. Hence they did not offer him.

I guess maybe you don't understand what getting an offer is and that's why it is confusing to you?

Do you think wanting to do something or planning to do something is the same as doing something?

lmao

Orlando had an offer for him, he just didnt take the phone call. Unless Joe Ingles or his agent can't read, they knew the offer was out there.

Even if Ingles called them and talked to them, but still signed with the Jazz the Magic would have said "Oh we never offered him that contract". It's just saving face. The level of proof yall want is the Magic saying "yeah we tried to sign him but he just wanted to go to Utah for less money because we are a ****ty franchise"

Cy made a really good bet and was really spot on about ingles worth imo.
Then ingles screwed cy's chances to win the bet by signing quickly with the jazz for a good price.

Good news for cy is that nothing was on the line so he doesn't need to care that he lost the bet.

It's like a few years ago when I bet the jazz over on season wins. It was a good bet. The jazz roster to begin the season was more than good enough to easily get to the over on season wins.

Then gobert missed 20 games, favors missed 20 games, hood missed a handful, exum missed the whole season, burks missed like 50 games, etc etc.

It was a good bet but injuries screwed me and I lost 500 dollars. (900 if you count the winnings that I would have gained as well )

Why didn't you just explain to the casino that the Jazz would have won enough games if there were fewer injuries?

We're offering doesn't equal offered doe.

You need the phrase "joe ingles was offered 60 million by orlando"
I have yet to see that phrase.

Damn, I should have thought of that
