Rumor: Okur for Deng?

are you really trying to say that CJ, wesley and gordon are as good as deng? that's homerism at its absolute finest.

No, I am not...but running iso's for Deng on the wing isn't exactly my favorite offense. Other than being a better 1 on 1 player than our guys what does he do better than any of them. He's probably a better rebounder, but that's not worth $51 million.

I think Miles is going to be better than Deng in another year if he keeps progressing. Miles has better athleticism, passes better, and should be scoring more consistently in the near future. Recently, Miles has actually been trying to play defense too.

I don't want any player who moves like a Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em Robot on our team. Seriously, this guy's a freakin' hack. Have we learned nothing from AK's contract? Okur's?

Deng's deal is toxic unless you're giving something back worse. But I do like him as a player. Memo for Deng is a no go, though. Chicago would have to sweeten that up, and I don't see how they can.

Absolutely zero chance the Bulls trade anything significant for Memo with the Achilles injury he has. WAY too risky. That alone makes this rumor bogus.

If he was healthy though, I could see both parties interested (that being a huge IF). They're desperate to get rid of Deng and the Jazz have always liked him from what I remember. Hard to see them taking on that contract though...

It's a move in the right direction. I'd rather have him than Okur.

True, let's be bogged down four more years instead of just two. Let's acquire another 3 (wannabe in this case) who can't shoot the 3. Let's get a tweener who'll be exposed in any important game.

In all seriousness this rumor has been propagated by some guy named John on the Bulls board who claims he has connects. The twitter about Bulls looking for a serviceable center for Deng stands as supporting evidence for the original rumr.

Laughing my *** off at this one. How about I start a rumor? I have "connects." I read Jazzfanz, the DNews and Trib, along with ESPN, HoopsHype and a few others. Of course, I don't personally know a guy in the organization like Grand Harrison, but I do occasionally find myself in the parking lot of Best Buy.

Not a chance in hell Deng is traded for Okur. 1) Utah would never take on that contract. 2) Extremely doubtful Chicago would waive a physical even if the trade had some legs.

Know what I've heard? Dwight Howard really, really wants to be on the same team as Carlos Boozer. Orlando can't clear enough space, so Howard is headed to SLC just as soon as we dump AK's salary. Jazz would also let Fes go to save money. But it has to be done in the right order since the Jazz will exceed the cap and tax threshold. A) Get rid of AK; B) Sign Howard; C) Re-sgn Carlos; D) use the MLE to bring back Matthews.

Boozer/Millsap
Howard/Okur/Koufos
CJ/Hayward
Matthews/(CJ)/Jeffers
Deron/Price/Gaines

659422. Insider: Chicago/Portland Trade

My sources tell me that the Blazers and Bulls have a deal in place that will send Luol Deng to PDX in exchange for the expiring contract of Joel Przybilla and young guard Jerryd Bayless. The two sides are waiting on the green light from Seattle before the deal can be made official.

Are you ****ing serious? Are they trying to hand Chicago the title? Bayless is young and talented and Pryz, expiring or not, is another big body to come off the bench. Worst case, Chicago has cleared a ton of cap space via their trade with the Wiz and this dumping of Deng.

I didn't realize that Seattle still had a team.

That caught me off guard to. Maybe Paul Allen was there or something and they needed him to sign off on it. It is just another rumor among many. Just like Bulls fans are getting excited over possibly signing Wade very soon after Wade's second meeting with the Bulls. But he is still on the fence after meeting number 2. So we'll see what happens.

have you ever watched deng? he's not a 1x1 guy. he'd be a GREAT system guy. again, i'm not saying i'd go gang-busters to get him, but be real... he is MUCH better than any of our wings outside of AK and would bring MUCH more to the table.

He doesnt bring 51million dollars over 4 years worth of talent.
