I have no idea if rush can still play. He has not played enough for me to make that determination. I know this I want burks to play and I want RJ on the bench. If that meant more rush I would not object.

Which of these answers seem more plausible:
1. We traded for Rush as we saw him to be an integral part of the team not only this year but in future years as well.
2. We traded for Rush to help clear GS salary on our books and help net high draft picks in a year that we're experimenting and building a foundation.
I have looked at it this way. When the trade was made, did the Jazz view Rush as part of the $24M in salary flotsam, for which they were compensated with 5 draft picks? OR did they view him as the sixth asset in the trade, helping justify the $20M the other two guys were making?

I honestly think they looked at him as an asset, not dead salary, or at least hoped he was an asset. Given the injury there was a chance that the risk wouldn't pay off.

If he had been able, I'm think that he could have (a) contributed, (b) remained with the team beyond this season, or (c) been traded at the deadline. In the end he hasn't been able, so none of the above applies.

Rush might be worthless but I'd like the Jazz to keep his twin brother Dionte Garrett as part of the team's future plans...

Agreed. And Ian Clark should get those minutes unless the Jazz have totally given up on him.

Nah, I wouldn't give Ian those minutes. I would give them to Burks.

You don't just give a player minutes if they aren't good enough, and by all accounts, Ian isn't good enough. He is on the team because he is cheap and the team likes him.

Brandon Rush's worthlessness is the #1 reason that Alec Burks got an opportunity to show what he can do..... IMO.
So im glad he is worthless.
Plus if he was as good as alot of people thought he was, then the tank would be even more damaged than it already is

This from Locke: "Brandon Rush was disengaged in his first appearance in a few games and got pulled quickly." Why don't the Jazz just waive him and buy him out.

"Brandon Rush was disengaged in his first appearance in a few games"

He was disengaged in his last appearance against MN. Gave up on another loose ball at midcourt last night and Corbin rightfully pulled him almost immediately. About a minute later they showed him on the bench and he was laughing it up with someone sitting behind him.

Not sure what this guy's deal is but he shouldn't be playing.

its scary to think that if rush showed more effort burks would get no court time....cos corbin loves his vets.
