Ryan Braun is he guilty or innocent

I'm not bringing this up to hate on him. I haven't fully come to my own conclusion on it one way or another.

Here's what I do know he I guess failed a drug test and is suspended for 50 games Braun appeals and MLB's suspension is reversed because the test sample wasn't handled correctly. If I'm misinformed, someone fill me in. My question is did he test positive because his test sample was mishandled or did he use but get off because of the mishandling of the test sample in question?

Would like to discuss.

He's terribly guilty. He's like someone caught red handed robbing a bank, but gets off because of a technicality of not having his rights read to him.

I will take that as a compliment because baseball is more boring than watching Devin Harris run an offense.

That's because you really have never got into it to begin with. Please don't try to convince me otherwise. Baseball is not boring, just misunderstood by most. They whine about the time it takes between pitches or the fact that there are so many games in a season etc. There is always something going on during a game that you are over looking.

I won't say I was ever super involved/into baseball, but I went to a ton of Houston Astro's game (probably upwards of 50+) as a kid with my Grandpa. I liked them then, but I just grew bored with them as I grew up. Nice memories, but baseball is just boring now.

As for Braun, I am not sure we will ever know for sure. We all will of course suspect from now on. I can say that as a fan of one of his rival teams, I respect the guy. The steroid issue withstanding, he has shown the utmost class whenever a baseball fan runs into him whether it is a Brewer fan or in this case a Cub fan. I have heard numerous stories of him not only going out of his way to talk to fans. Someone I know has run into him in Milwaukee on multiple occasions and he(Braun) each time remembered not only the guy's name, but he took a half hour out of his time to sign autographs and talk baseball with the guy's kids. Again, this is not a Brewer fan and Braun really had no obligation to spend any time doing any of this. Whether he is innocent or guilty, I have to say that at least he was classy in that regard.

My family are baseball fanatics. I was the least talented of the bunch to be honest. That's not to say I wasn't good. Just that they were better. We come from a baseball family and therefore it is the best time of the year and my favorite sport to be honest. There's nothing like Opening Day and knowing that summer is just around the corner.

I could also attribute my lack of baseball enthusiasm to the Astros sucking *** for quite some time now.

This is true. But now they have a new owner and a GM who actually knows what he is doing unlike Ed Wade. When they move to the ALW in 2013 they will have their initial bumps and bruises going into a division with the Rangers and Angels. But if they are smart and Jeff Luhnow replicates some of the success in finding talent like he did with the Cardinals, then they could have a very bright future. I can see why you are down on them though. Tough to be looking at a rebuild like that.

Yeah, as a true casual fan of the Astros, watching them suck is not something I want to do.

As a Braves fan opening day can't get here soon enough. I can't wait to get the bad tast of last years collapse by the Braves. I guess it could've been wose, thanks to the Sox having just as bad a melt down, the braves were nonexistent on Espn. I didn't have to be reminded every single day thanks to the sox. LOL....

As far as Braun goes. I hope he is telling the truth. He's one of the good guys of baseball, and would be tragic if his name is lumped in with the likes of Sosa, Bonds, and Clemons.

Is it possible he took something without realizing it, because that would explain the test results. I also watched him make his statement on Espn, and I thought he looked very sincere, and didn't get the same vibe as I did from Clemons or A-Rod.

It was his herpes medication. This isn't even a joke, that's the popular reason going around right now. Lulz.

I'm not an expert on this stuff, so correct me if I'm wrong but if it is that extreme wouldn't he get much more noticeably bigger, kinda like Bonds did?

Not necessarily. A lot of people think that all roids do is buff you up which they can but certain types can do other things for the body as well. Like muscle twitch fibers and stuff of that nature. A good friend of mine was in AAA with the Indians in the late 90's early 2000's. He was on a rehab assignment and John Rocker was in there bragging about all the roid's he was on. He was a big guy but I wouldn't consider him huge by any means. My friend thought it was funny how openly discussed it was and how not one person cared or did anything about it.
