Sacramento trading thier #7 pick

I'm having trouble following Sacramento's logic. They gave up Beno Udrih and the #7 for Salmons and the #10.

What is their motivation here? Were they dying for John Salmons?

Maloofs wanted Fredette. Coaches said the backcourt was too crowded and they really needed a SF more. They just got rid of Beno and added a SF who succeeded in Sactown a few years ago. Suffice it to say Fredette is a King.

I don't understand it on Sacramento's part. They traded a good Salmons contract for a bad Noci contract then when Noci's contracts up they trade for a bad Salmons contract and move down in the draft at the same time. Maybe we should see if we can get rid of memo's terrible contract and the #3 pick for the #1 pick

I'm hearing rumors that Sacto isn't done. They are looking to trade the #10 pick and filler with SA for Parker and Jefferson?!? If that's the case they have their PG & a SF.

They want to sell some tickets. So they're trading Udrih for Fredette, and assuming that the player they'd get at 7 isn't a better wing than Salmons. Just guessing here.
