Emmental is a distinct variety of cheese. While it is Swiss (from Switzerland), it is different from what we Americans call "swiss" cheese. It has a kind of sweetness.
If carmelized onions are out because someone else picked raw red onions, then I would argue that every type of beef that has been selected since pick # 2 should be voided.
