scoreboards last night

I really liked them, but they will definitely take awhile to get used to. it's going to be weird not having the stats on the actual board. Also, it might just be me but the boards seem way too high off the court. I literally have to look straight up to see them.

Finally, the double ribbons are going to be annoying as hell throughout the season... my god talk about giving me a headache with a non-stop bombardment of flashing lights.

From the upper bowl they seem pretty good. I noticed they raised them after the open scrimmage though so maybe they are experimenting with height.

As far as the stats go I think they will be displaying them on the 4 screens in the upper corners I assume they just don't have the production in place for that yet. I will agree that I have never seen so many flashing lights in that place between the two light rings (Ribbons) the over the portal signs and the Halo it was pretty busy.

I think once they figure out their production stuff things like that wont bother as much because we will all be focused on consuming the content.

Here are some pictures I took at the game last night.

At the scrimage we sat near the top rows of the lower bowl above the Jazz baseline. From there the screens were very comfortable to look at. I've heard that the upper bowl gets the most benefit from the screens.

I liked the new sound system, I could hear the words not just noise.

The constant flashing and movement on the ribbon is distracting and a nuiscance.

the team may be horrible this year, but compared to the 14 other nba stadiums i've been to ESA is hands down top 3. Great layout and the Miller family deserves a lot of credit for the amount of effort they put into this team and city.

Now if we can just get Wiggins, the team can hopefully become as great as the stadium is

We sat in the same place for the Scrimmage and I thought the screens were nice but again I think they raised them some before the preseason game.

My wife probably mentioned the sound system 3 or 4 times during the game last night.

I had stopped trying to go to games because of the sound. I have a couple of kids that just hated the noise, not necessarily the volume, just the amount of base thumping noise mixed with a few distinguishable words or recognizable chorus lines from songs. I'm old, but not grandpa old and the noise was bugging me too.

The scrimage was so much better sound. I can't wait to try a game with the kids again.

I liked it but it was killing me not having the stats up I hope that they implement something to show points and fouls per player. I would love it if they went with an LED numbers in between the screens in the corners I think that would help.

I still wish the jazz management would allow ushers (hostesses) to bring food and drinks to the first couple rows like they allow in LA, San Antonio, Miami... etc. anyone know why they don't do this?

Uhh. I believe that would mean you're close enough to actually enjoy what you paid big bucks to be there for?

The time clock issues that the ESA has have become completely expected. It's embarrassing really that they can't work out the issues with the equipment or find someone that is capable of working with the equipment. Im not sure what the real reason is but if I had to guess, the slackjaw with the front bags is probably the problem. I mean, there was a moment when the lady sitting next to him was showing him stuff on the console. Not a good sign.

Today on the radio Randy Rigby mentioned they are still working on these new screens and the stats are one of those, they weren't ready yet, so at least you will get your wish soon.
