Scott Machado signed?

Locke said it was just for training camp but probably has a good shot at being the third string PG.
 
Christmas in September. I knew it would happen someday. No but really, I like the way the guy played in college. If he has improved his off hand at all, I could see him sticking.
 
Machado went undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft but joined the Houston Rockets summer league team.[5] He averaged 8.0 points, 5.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game.[6] As a result of his performance, he was given a chance to play for the Rockets in the 2012–13 NBA season.
On November 14, 2012, Machado was assigned to the NBA D-League.[7] He made his regular season debut with the Rockets on November 28, 2012.[8] On November 30, 2012, he was re-assigned to the Vipers.[9] He was recalled on December 22, 2012.[10]
On January 7, 2013, Machado was waived by the Rockets.[11]
On January 29, 2013, Machado was acquired by the Vipers. He was traded to the Santa Cruz Warriors on March 8, 2013.[12] On April 7, 2013, he signed a ten-day contract with the Golden State Warriors.[13] The next day, he was sent back to Santa Cruz as an assignee of Golden State.[14] On April 17, 2013, the Golden State Warriors signed Machado for the rest of the season.[15] Machado stayed with the Santa Cruz Warriors for the rest of that team's playoff run until the Warriors lost the best-of-three 2013 NBA D-League Finals series to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on April 26.[16] Machado debuted for the Warriors on April 28 in Game 3 of the Warriors' first-round series against the Denver Nuggets with 2 points, 1 rebound, and 1 turnover in 4 minutes.[17]
On July 24, 2013, he was waived by the Warriors.[18]

He had more playoff points against the Nuggets than Burke and Clark. I say we let him die senior in SLC.
 
So I get that Lindsey likes to go to the track and bet on all the long shots, its his thing. I just hope that he also knows how to pick a favorite.

Was hoping we would take a flier on him in the second round last year.

Lindsey's advanced metrics showed that all of the 29 others teams were trending towards bigger pgs. This counter trend allows the Jazz to take advantage of an underutilized and slightly devalued market. He also recognized that none of the Jazz pgs could defend or get a shot off last season, unless it was ill-timed hero chucking, so it doesn't matter one bit if none of this years can shoot or gaurd.
