Scott Machado signed?

He played on the under 21 team in Brazil a couple of years back - I wonder if he played with Neto.

But we'll know for sure the day he makes the regular season roster and there are a million Brazilian posters here saying he needs to start in front of Burke.

I call shotgun! #startmachadonow

Bill Oram Twitter:
"Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey confirms that former Iona point guard Scott Machado will attend training camp starting next week."
And
"Lindsey says camp signings will be announced by team later."

Just an invitee so far.

He played really up-tempo at Iona. I wonder if it indicates anything about the Jazz wanting to push tempo, like the Nuggets.

Watching his highlight video...... Seems like he is about the same size, quick, athletic, and jersey number as trey burke
And his form on his jumper seems similar... and his floater reminds me of burke.

No limit on roster size until just before the season starts.

I thought the limit was 20 for training camp, no?

I know, it is eerie. They have similar shaped bone/muscle structures and haircuts too. Machado is like Burke's pass-first twin.

I was thinking the exact same thing...great minds think alike.

So are we collecting Point Guards like pogs? I was prepared to charge into this thread and say "Seriously, can we leave the Machado thing alone?!!!" then I was like, "Oh, sorry to bother you Mr. Lindsey! Carry on!"

Love the signing.

Machado is the second coming of Howard Eisley.

Was hoping we would take a flier on him in the second round last year.

I don't know about ALL of that, but I liked him. I certainly would've taken him over Calvin Murray or whatever his name was.

I may have said the Howard Eisley part tongue in cheek, but I did/do like Machado and thought he could work himself into something serviceable. I'm interested to watch how he does in camp.
