A few years ago I had a friend who had been teaching for about 10 years. She was a very good teacher. However, She was terrified of people finding out that she was lesbian and using that as a reason to terminate her. For years she wouldn’t place any pictures in her office or on social media. Her partner who worked in the private sector and lived with the same fear as well.
I can’t imagine living a life like that.
This will probably go down as one of the more consequential decisions in quite some time. And for good reason. Gorsuch joining the majority and the decision having such a strong impact on millions of lives.
It’ll be interesting to see how creative places like Hobby Lobby will become to try to terminate those they find icky.

The ruling is based on the civil rights act right? I don't see that going anywhere anytime soon.
The real problem as I see it is that with at will employment you can be fired for "no reason at all," and taking your employer to court just isn't a realistic proposition for a lot of people.
