The Rudy call not having clear enough evidence is just stupid AF... like if that wasn’t clear enough then what will be? Does he need three Book of Mormons in between him and the nearest player? There have been others that were similarly dumb.

it’s the same with the 5 minute reports... they are their own judge so the benefit the give themselves is comical.

Just end the exercise... took like 3-4 minutes tonight to shrug their shoulders.

Yeah, it was a good idea. The execution/practice has been less good. Way less.
The refs are clearly like “eff this **** we never wrong”. They obviously hate it... only makes news when they screw it up... overshadows the games too often.

Actually, I not only think that the challenges are a great idea, but I would increase them in number: one challenge per quarter for each coach and, if a coach wins a challenge, he doesn't loose a time out. Why? I think right now the refs are simply not used to revert their own calls when challenged by a coach, so they have a psychological tendency of not doing it. If the challenges become more common, a real part of the game, that tendency will go away.

I think having refs at the replay center make the decision would make it faster and probably more fair. In Premier League, once VAR gets in action ref on the pitch has no say on what the decision will be.

The reports are so dumb. It's literally just a fan service. The NBA takes a day to go over social media and build a consensus on what fans are thinking about the calls and then they mirror the consensus in their report so that most fans come out feeling better about their officiating. Most NBA fans were pissed about the 0.2 second foul call. So in the report obviously Rudy wasnt fouled on that play and obviously Rudy committed his sixth foul. Despite all clear evidence otherwise in both cases.

It's a farce.

Yeah, let’s have eight reviews per game and extend NBA games to three hours.

That’s an awful idea.

Scrap it for fouls. Continue it for out of bounds and stuff that isnt as subjective as a foul.
This is fine... the 2 minute reports are a joke on this too. They don’t like to tell on themselves... if there was an independent group evaluating the calls then maybe.

Maybe just have Scott Foster do them all... that guy loves being a dick and stirring the pot.
