What's new

Seattle has had arena plans approved.. Now they can start looking for a team.

Who do you all think would be good teams prospects to move to Seattle. I think Bobcats?... maybe kings? idk though. Still very cool. I am excited for them.

The only team that is almost certain to move anytime soon is the Kings. I don't know what other cities have been trying to get the Kings besides Anaheim (which isn't happening), but Seattle would seem to be in prime position to get the Kings. But you never know what the Maloofs are thinking.

I thought they kind of wanted to sell their team cause they have been losing money with them. do you think they would stay the kings?... idk i just found this kind of interesting. i think seattle needs a team again.

The Maloofs definitely don't want to sell. https://aroyalpain.com/2012/09/11/s...-plan-maloofs-now-must-save-sacramento-kings/ Unfortunately for Seattle, I think they will only get a team if a team is sold to Chris Hansen's group. The article mentioned that the Maloofs have already turned them down once.

If you move an eastern team to a western conference you have to either expand by 2 teams or put a western team in the east. I'd go with a west team going to the east first. Obvious candidates would be Minnesota, New Orleans and Memphis.

Yeah that would make sense. wasnt new orleans just bought though?

I think he means that if a team from the Eastern Conference moved to Seattle, the Hornets (or the other teams he mentioned) would be the best candidates to switch over to the Eastern Conference rather than actually relocate.

Gotcha. i read his post again. The conferences need to stay balanced..

The only way I'd be halfway content with the Jazz moving is if they moved to Seattle.

Just saying.
