Sensabaugh and Hendricks watch thread in gleague

All those threes were nothing but net. His shot is pure. Great looking stroke. That was my favorite thing about him coming into the draft. I loved the thought of him playing the stretch 4 with that great looking (and efficient) 3 point shot.

Yeah his shot looks really good and effortless. The Jazz value him for his potential to be the type of player NBA teams today are looking for - 3-point shot, defensive skills, length, will get much stronger.

Calling all haters… it’s time. Now you have seen it in a g league game. So here’s the deal - the Tay Henny bus is leaving the station. You can get on board and enjoy the scenery or you can stay at the bus station with the other meth heads mumbling about Bilal or Jarace or JHS. Y’all can huddle up and spoon together on cool nights and survive on your own or you can get on the climate controlled bus headed to fun basketball town. But you gotta decide now… the doors are closing and we out this B.

Your choice.

Sincerely,

The Tay Henny Bus Driver

That driving one hand dunk on the baseline was very impressive this game was greatly needed to build confidence going forward and finally a look at the players to thought he was pre draft

I'll ride, but I'm sitting in the back and throwing paper balls at the driver.

What is the criteria? Root for him and hope he is very good?

I want on, even if I'm unwelcome.

He got from the top of the three point line to a dunk on one dribble. Combine that with a smooth 3 point shot that isn't relegated to the corners and you start to see why he was a lottery pick. . .

I said it was too early to write him off a few weeks ago but I think it is too early to anoint him as well. Hope he turns out great and there are some positive signs (there always was) but playing in the real league versus the G league is a huge difference. Hopefully I can still get a bus ticket when we have more real data.

What was impressive was he carried the Stars to an easy victory. Sensabaugh was having an off night, Christopher wasn't very good, Langford was stinking the place up, Potter wasn't there. TH showed some things.

Well now that he’s had a good G-League game I’ve changed my stance on everything.
You say that like it’s a wild idea… when people were writing him off after a few bad g league games… after no summer league. At very least you can see how much more comfortable he’s been. I remember ya boi Bilal looking awfully rough his first couple summer league games.

Also… on or off? The bus doors are closing and spots are filling up. There may only be seats in the back next to the smelly kid who pees his pants and throws stuff at the bus driver.

The bus is leaving. There are no return trips. On or off… there is no wait.

Criteria is get on and sit down. No more crying about how we didn’t get Grady Dick who is shooting like THT but “looks the part”.

I like Hendricks well enough, but I still think he's a 4th or 5th starter in a Dorian Finney-Smith-type role. If that means I'm not on the bus, I'll call an UBER.
No Ubers allowed. You must bus in… like a beautiful state park we won’t allow people to just come in and out as they please. You must bus in now or decide to live in hater town.

DFS is fine enough to get you a ticket.

Also there is no hate on the Tay Henny bus. You will not get Gump’d!

Lmao that's not how modern centers play and you have to know that's not what I mean

He's playing with a completely spaced floor because he's the 5. It's a completely different look to what he will usually play with at the NBA level.

It's not a critique, just an observation. He played a style he was more accustomed to from his UCF days and seemed to play well.
Maybe it would be helpful if you pointed out which plays in that highlight package would not have been possible with Kessler or any "true center" on the court. I'm not seeing one. . .

I don't love basing opinions based off of Box Score stats, but I'm also not going to watch a bunch of G-League games, so it is what it is.

Here are the basic stats for Hendricks and Brice so far:

Hendricks: 8gm 29.4min 14.8pts (41.5/36.2/75) 6reb 1.3ast 1.0stl 1.8blk +1.0

Sensabaugh:8gm 29.4min 15.3pts (40/35.1/100) 6.8reb 4.3ast 1.4stl 0blk -4.4

As a comparison here are Agbaji's stats from last year:

Agbaji: 9gm 31.9min 13.2pts (37.3/30.7/88.9) 3.4reb 2.3ast 0.6stl 0.9blk -1.4
