All, here is a review of my recently published novel on Amazon. Mods, feel free to remove this if it is inappropriate. Feel free to PM me if you want a link to the Amazon page for my novel. It’s about a US soldier intent on smuggling drugs to the U.S. from Panama in 1988. He crosses paths with the Medellin cartel, a Panamanian street gang inspired by Santeria, and members of the Socialist Revolutionary League, and things spin out of control. Based on my own experiences, but still fictional, of course.

It’s not as difficult as you may suspect. Some people write an outline of the novel first, others kind of go stream of consciousness. I did the latter on my first novel (Panama Nights) and it worked fine for me.

OP, does it make any difference compensation wise if the book is purchased in paperback or for kindle?

Royalties are higher on paperback, but it’s no big deal.
