What's new

Shelvin Mack

It doesn't look like Mack has much of an outside shot. Solid PG play, but even if he keeps up the good performances, we still need Exum to explode next season. :/

It could be nice this year though. Then he will be called mack and cheddar in the off season. Get it? Because of all the money he will get after getting the jazz a first round playoff series victory.

Makes me sad we couldn't find a way to trade Burke and something else for a top tier PG. This team is starving for a good PG, as we saw tonight.

I enjoyed Mack... I think he's just like our other pgs though... Some night he'll look great like tonight and other nights he will look like Neto or Burke.

I will say that he is much bigger than our other pgs and you could tell that helped him. I don't know how we work this rotation but I hope it's just merit based on how the player is performing that night... Just ride the hot hand.

He did show a good understanding of the offense.

The NBA doesn't allow us to darft that young doe

Nope, we look for players with ballerina-like balance and great "BBIQ" who have Jazz DNA (whatever the hell that is). Then we have them run around the perimeter doing passing drills, apparently so we can slow down the pace of the game since we don't have the shooters to compete with real NBA teams. Two things I love when I can't get to sleep: a cup of hot chocolate and watching a Jazz game. The best cure for insomnia on the market today.

I am just wondering how long it will take for Mack to establish himself as the new starter for us. My best guess is no more than 10 games.

Remember how in love we were with Cotton after his 21 point game last year? He was 3rd string in Atlanta for a reason. Let's calm down until we get a realistic sample size.

I never liked that chucker. Mack is a much better playmaker and defender. He's the better PG even if he can only give you ~8 pts a game.
