What's new

Shooters

What we need is for our current starters to become shooters. If we bring in new shooters who will take a back seat? Fav, Hayward, Burke, Hood, Exum.
We don't need shooters coming off the bench. We need our core to develop more consistent shooting. This year the entire team took significant strides forward in team defense. Imagine what we could look like if the entire group made a similar stride in shooting %.

The solution to this is to hire Chip Engelland. Make him your Associate Head Coach and PAY him well. He's a perfect fit for what Utah needs, and while San Antonio is winding down, Utah is just getting jump started.

Just imagine if Exum, Hayward, Burks, Hood and Favors made the shooting improvements that Parker, Leonard, Ginobili, Green and Diaw all made under his watch? Damn. Now imagine if Rudy could make major improvements to his shooting form and mentality.

I wanted this to happen last year, but I can see why he'd be reluctant to leave San Antonio. Now that the Jazz look like one of the up-and-coming teams in the NBA, I'm hoping that the team's bright future (plus a promotion and a HUGE raise) are enough to get him.

Dennis Lindsey, Quin Snyder and Rudy Gobert need to make this happen.
