Filipowski finished the Spurs game with the starters and is quite obviously a better player than Cody Williams, so should he start over Cody for now on?

He should but he won’t

Im not so convinced. Hardy cut Cody's minutes and Flip played to end the game. Flip went against a top three defensive player, a guy who has GOAT defensive player potential, and didnt back down.

Agreed Flip is clearly the better player at this point. He's looking like a real steal considering his draft slot.

If they want to "start" Cody and limit his minutes to about 18 that's fine but he might blossom more if he were to play some G League getting heavy minutes where he can be the main focus for a few games.

In some ways having Flip on the floor actually helps Collins game. Flip does seem to have a lot of the same strengths as Olynyk although KO occupied space near the 3 point line. Flip is typically located closer to the paint which has allowed Collins to play more pick n pop/pick n roll. Andy's Triple Team covered some of this in detail last night.

No. Cause tank.
Based off performance should he? Most definitely.

I don't feel strongly about the lineups right now, but Flip should definitely be in the rotation.
This.
Definitely should have played Cody over flip for the end of the game and secured the loss though

Flip should be getting more minutes. He moves the ball and opens up the offense better than most of our guards do.

The Jazz have been force-feeding minutes to Cody, like nearly 30 mpg. Those can be brought down and given to Flip. As for who starts, I’m not sure it matters as much.

It's all about the matchups. When the opposing team has a dynamic high-scoring guard like Lillard the Jazz need to have a better defender on him than Keyonte or Sexton. Same thing when they have a fast scorer on the wing - you really don't want Lauri to spend all his energy chasing him. Cody is the best defender the Jazz can throw on them.

Now i think its fine to start cody and flip together lol. Some lineups can look like this. I removed key because obviously hes not shooting well and his turnovers are higher than usual. You cant really suck 6 games in a row and still start.

Sexton
Cody
Hendricks
Lauri
Flip

Or

Sexton
Cody
Lauri
Flip
Kessler

Cody for perimeter d and flip as another facilitator. Sexton might need to level up his passing/read on this one.

I do like what Ski brings and his passing. I think he just keeps things flowing and things happen.
Cody still needs time to cook.

Let's take it a bit easy and hope he gets to a Sabonis level.
True, so true and it is over the top but he has started fast and that is sometimes an indicator. Realistically he is a Sabonis style number one option....however....there is a pathway and a small chance he could be something more. He might be a better number one than Lauri. Can they play together and where does THenx, Cody fit in the future?

Outside of Jokic having quite possibly the best skill level of all time.... he's also much bigger than Flip.

If Flips wants to reach a 20 PPG kind of level, it's going to look more like the way Sabonis scores than Jokic.
