Should Mitt release his tax returns?

I'd rather do that than elect someone who has spent his whole life figuring out how to avoid paying taxes on a fortune and thinks that this is a good thing.
 
How about instead of spending trillions on wars, we declare intellectual/financial war on the world. Out smart all the countries that have anything to get .. and bring back the spoils. Hell Yeah!
 
we've already done that.... but the smart guys bankrupted themselves and the entire world economy in the process, only to have the central banks print trillions of dollars and give it to the smart people so they could afford to keep paying themselves bonuses and continue business as usual

And Romney made that happen, right? Just who ordered the printing of the money? Who dictated who that money was given to? Who lacked the foresight to mandate how the monies were to be used? You should see how one of the more prominent banks in UT acted post-bailout .. with their $3.9B .. not good.

I'd much rather have the guy who's smart enough to figure out how to legally pay as little taxes as possible as opposed to the idiot who missed all the loopholes.

That site I linked to, taxhistory.org, has pdf files for Romney's 2010 and 2011 returns. So either you're mistaken or the site has posted bogus documents. I suspect you're mistaken. I have no idea whether the documents are complete or not, but this is the first time I've heard that the tax returns Romney has released might not be complete.

Every single honest person in the US will prepare their taxes with the idea of paying just what they are supposed to pay according to the law, and not more.

I would like you to release your taxes to jazzfanz, just post them please. Then we can evaluate if you were trying to figure out a way to rip off the people. I sure hope you paid more than you should have because if you are taking deductions or credits I'm going to call you out for being a hypocrite.

It is important for you to release those to us because it is part of your platform here. Don't waste any time denying it... trust me, it will be better for you to just do it otherwise we will know you are hiding something. You may even be planning on betraying your country by not paying enough taxes. Treason!!!!!!!! If so, you will die a slow JazzFanz death!!!!!

From what I understand, the 2011 returns are not actually filed with the IRS yet. What he released for 2011 was an estimated return. He's actually filed an extension and his 2011 return will not be filed until Sept. I believe. This may be what Salty was referring to.

Edit: By the way, even though I hadn't heard that the 2010 return wasn't fully disclosed, I had heard a month or two ago that the 2011 return wasn't released yet. But when I saw it (or whatever it was) on the taxhistory.org site, I figured that it had been released when I wasn't paying attention.
