Should Mitt release his tax returns?

Hilarious to watch the some of the same people who demanded to see Obama's birth certificate for the 100th time defend Mitten's privacy here. Although, I gotta admit, it's not near that same level. Mitten's even being called out by fellow repubs to show his tax return. Hilarious to watch the right unite and attack Mitt as if they were Democrats. Just goes to show that Republicans really aren't crazy for Mitt. Ultimately, they're going to vote for who they hate less, Mitt or Obama?

The thing is, Romney's a dumbass. He hasn't figured out yet that the longer he delays this, the bigger issue it becomes.

In just a few days this has become one of those, "meh" attacks to, "WTF are you hiding Mitt???!!!"

I personally think a lot of Americans are going to be pretty damn pissed when they see it... Hence, the hesitation... Then again, Mitt has had nearly a decade to get his ducks in a row. He's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

If you're going to run for public office you need to be prepared to answer any question and to show just about every record on yourself. I see nothing wrong with people wanting to see it. I actually think it's somewhat relevant to the discussion. Repubs have talked nonstop about tax cuts for the wealthy. So why wouldn't we want to see them from a "self-made man CEO business dude?" We all know about his offshore and Swiss bank accounts. Let us see your tax returns Mitt. I wanna know! I also wanna know how many "jobs" you've "created." Since the rest of us are bums and only the rich create jobs/matter in your universe.

Considering that reducing taxes more for the wealthy has been the top priority of Republicans for the last 40 years as far as I can tell, I think we should have a lot more sunlight focused on their tax loopholes. This might be a fun place to start!

Damn, you heard it here first, what about Bain Capital's Tax Returns too?
Romney was the founder, CEO, and sole owner I believe. We should have a peak at those too.

You know where I stand.

I say yes, just as soon as Obama releases all of his college records. I bet he's got lots to hide. Why else has he refused to release them?

Technically, I don't think it matters either way. The lines have been drawn and I think that for the most part people pretty much know how they're going to vote.

Good hell. Who cares if we would like what we would see or not? Does the law require him to release them? If so, great! If not, how about respecting his privacy just like we respect your privacy concerning new additions to your midget porn DVD collection?

What would be gained or lost by showing his tax returns? Everybody already knows he's rich enough to wipe his butt with Benjamins. Would it really matter if people find out he made 800 million instead of just 500 million last year?

Equally hilarious to see some of the same people who defended Obama against the birth certificate "issue" now calling for Mitt's tax records.

For what it's worth, I thought the people demanding birth certificates were stupid, and I think the people demanding the tax records are also stupid.

Don't get general Thriller. Since before you posted only PKM and Chad even question why he should release his returns I am assuming you are referring to them

PKM and Chad do you believe Obama is a US citizen? It appears that you have Thriller convinced you are "birthers".

you're the stupid one. well, I guess since a lot of people think this, I should say they're all, and add the "s" to make it plural form. Simple fact is that the US Constitution requires certain facts/qualification for a person to be President of the United States, and both of our major parties have wiped their asses on the Constitution and said they don't give a damn.

candidates seeking a spot on any state or federal ballot should be absolutely required to give the proofs available pertaining to be qualified, before being allowed the place on the ballot. Period.

Saying anything less will do is saying you don't care about anything in terms of legal matters.

When the Supreme Court took that position, they were claiming to be above the Constitution, as they have for years claimed to be the exclusive judges of what is Constitutional. While ripping it to shreds and supplanting it with other ideas more to their taste.

today we have all kinds of federal and state officials taking the position that they are above the law, and it's "wink wink wink" all around the whole show. Idiots who make Sarah Palin's little cutsy wink look smart and moral.

After reading you dramatic over reaction to Coltons post I would like to read your stance on voter ID laws.
