Should Mitt release his tax returns?

That is a crazy characterization of this issue. No one is arguing rights for or against a minority. I think both sides are pretty much in agreement that all citizens have the right to vote.

This. I just want to make sure that every citizen gets to vote but it is that citizen voting. Not someone voting in their name, living or dead.

Amazing how difficult it is for some to get this very simple point.

I get that point. But since that hasn't been happening, the current fix (which disenfranchises millions of legal Americans) for this non existent problem isn't appropriate.

That's your claim, anyway. But I doubt it will be reality.

10 documented cases of in person voter fraud in the last 12 years out of 160+ million votes cast nationally. Trust me when I say you got better things to worry about.

How about we just give Mitt 10 free votes? Hell, make it 11.

And I have to ask why the Ohio State Legislature is making in person voting laws more stringent; and yet they're giving absentee voters more leeway/time to vote. Strange stuff.

Coming from the guy who has repeatedly been surprised by (or at least unaware of) old news in this thread.

This has been all over the news for quite a while too. I seriously suggest you get out of your bubble and start exploring additional news sources.

Coming from the guy who in every other case has been happy to provide sources for me. Makes one wonder why not this time.

Edit: And how about we agree that I'll get out of my bubble if you get off of your high horse?

An infraction may help?

;)

How can you say I'm on a high horse after that? Here is what you said:

So of course I'll point out that you are the one who has repeatedly been out of touch with "reality" in this thread. As for a source, I'll do what I have been doing and post the first Google link:

Salty, you using links like HuffPo and DailyKOS carries no water. They are absolutely biased towards the left. It would be like Colton using a FoxNews story to prove a point. You'd probably laugh it off as totally fake.

So are you disputing the facts in the story? They may be biased, but that doesn't mean their facts (which are from another source, cited in the article) are wrong.

"Facts", like statistics can be fudged. And spun to represent the presenter's best interest. Anything from either of those sites should be questioned if for no other reason than they are from those sites. Get me the same facts from less left leaning sites and then I might give you some consideration.

No matter who reports it, how can anyone claim any number of fraudulent ballots? Of course one could cite how many have been caught AND turned into authorities AND reported/discovered by media personnel.

They link to their source in the article.

Well as long as we can't prove there is an actual problem of in person voter fraud, I'd rather err on the side of not disenfranchising millions of people.

LOL - you sound like a character from a George Orwell novel.

Forget Obama/Romney for a second. Forget voter fraud. If Politician X said what you just said above regarding one of your basics rights as an American Citizen, wouldn't you be suspicious of that politician - in fact wouldn't you think he was downright dangerous?

Well.... while we're siting stories from a George Soros funded website, I might as well post something from an non-liberal site to even it out.

https://dailycaller.com/2012/06/11/florida-sues-obamas-agency-to-stop-voter-fraud/

In almost all cases, (and all it takes is a quick google search) voter fraud has in 95 percent of those cases been led back to the camp of each candidate.

How does that prove your claim that millions of legal Americans would be disenfranchised? The article only points out that millions of people currently may not have valid IDs, not that millions of people would be incapable of procuring valid IDs.
